Last night I clear coated the trunks and the
interior. Tonight I'll pull off all the masking.
Tomarrow night I'll mask off the areas that are painted.
Saturday paint goes on the body!
My shop is in Auburn, WA. If you want to come by and see
paint being applied, your welcome to watch.
Looks great. I wish I was in the area to check it out.
I'll have to watch from here.
That looks great. I wish I was around on Saturday to come check it out.
Your car is looking great, I can't wait to put some color on mine...
Be sure to post some pics after you paint for me to drool over!
Me too, I'll watch from here as I live on the other side of the world but want to see how your car turns out. Love the color too!! Please post more pictures and updates when work progresses. Thanks
Hey Billy,
What time are you spraying?
How would we find you?
That car is gonna be very sexy!!
The shop is at 3534 C st. That's directly north of the Auburn airport runway. The group of buildings I in is called Airport Business Park and the business name is Choices Northwest. There's only a little paper sign on the door.
I plan on starting around 7am and it will take me all day. My phone number is 206 755-1705 if your lost.
Greenie and I went down to see the operation. Great set-up with the tub on a rotisserie in the paint booth. Very clean. He's putting 4-5 coats of base and then 5-6 coats of clear all in one day. He said he'd post pics but he'll probably be painting til midnight. Nice color of blue.
Hurry up and post those pics Billy!
Very cool Billy. Can't wait to see the pictures of how it came out. Better yet, I can't wait until you have it on the road
My assistant in taping. Friday night was going to be
a desert at a nice resturant, but by the time we got
done taping off the trunks and interior, I was beat
First came the sealer coat. It made me wonder if I
wanted a white car.
Very nice !
Base coat was fun! I can finely see the color.
Several people told me I'd find all my body
work mistakes when i put on the color. I'm happy
to report I didn't. That's not to say there aren't some
spots I wish I had done better. Just that I didn't find any
new ones.
After appling 4 coats of clear, my advisor from Corvettes
of Auburn told me I wasn't putting on enough clear. He
turned the flow way up on my gun and man did the clear
come out fast.
I have about six heavy coats on now and that should give
me a plenty of layers so when I cut and buff a few off, I
don't run out of layers.
Long night, but I'm excited to get the doors, hood and trunk
done next.
Looking very good Billy. Nice work
sweet billy!!! Looks good
That looks great.
All that hard work finally comes together when you put the paint on.
This is going to be one beautiful car!
Keep at it Billy, you are doing great work!
Looks Fantastic, keep the great work.
