Shoot, I can barely dress myself. And, I once associated with a pole dancer who played the flute. Does that matter?
BTW, that orange roller is a real POS. Your didn't even get any rust included in the deal.

I thought I found a little of the rusty stuff late last night, it turns out it was a little pile from your car after you left my driveway.

I'm surprised I wasn't hitting on Janet more at the WCR
Seeing that picture I would like my wife to spend some time with Janet at the pool

No evidence of mice, just birds & one big honkin spider so far, I took care of him with a blast of engine cleaner. I hate spiders !
Posted by: JRust Oct 12 2008, 03:45 PM
That engine setup looks sweet. What size is it?
My above comment made more sense with the picture attatched. I thought it would come wiht your quote but there must be some other trick to getting the pic t follow too.
Congrats on the car! It will be one sweet ride
Posted by: Eric_Shea Oct 12 2008, 03:52 PM
I'm wid ya on the spideys. I've been tearing apart rear teener calipers all morning. God made 914 calipers so spiders would have a place to live... good home because 70% of them are INOPERABLE!
So, let me get this straight; Jeff finds a signal orange teener with flares and no evidence of mice and he let's it go?
Next, cats and dogs will be frolicking together in the meadow.

Ok lets get this straight something put all that stuff in the front trunk(rat).
I am doing a buddy a solid , teaching us both that letting go of a treasure and the sun will rise the next day (although I do have a headache).
Further more the next week I did buy another car so all is good.
And Curt drinks budweiser so I wont have to pay for a beer
I wish the General liked me more

What a great community we have here.
After the Ramble when the General was all revved up she said" I need a 914 too!"
Well I didn't take long to post this little fact.
Jeff PMed me "I might know of a really nice car, Nepal Orange, seriously rust free, factory flared, ready to convert car, the guy is very private so just be patient.. " It took a couple of months, I got a call late one evening, Jeff says "if you want to look at the car it's gotta be now."
So I drive "blindfolded" to the top secret/super secret /impenetrable location, took a few minutes to take a look & said OK on the deal. Shook hands with Mr. X, mailed a check & waited... thanks Mr.X for parting with a treasure.
In the meantime I need to find a spot to store "Greenie" , in comes Kelty360 (Marc) to the rescue. We spend a weekend getting some brush cleared behind the shop, arranging his "showroom" and last weekend we get her tucked away.
On top of all this Jeff delivers the car to me yesterday!
What a gang! ( Janet just said "what a bunch of enablers")
Now I've got the car but I'm a little freaked about what's ahead.

Curt,
I hate you, in the best possible way of course
Looks like a nice project, just dont get it done in time for WCR09 that would really make me hate you
Don't let the General hear you talking about the car being hers "technically" only problems will follow
Jim
Do you want to put a little wager on which car will be finished first, mine or your's?
You can't count the gray one....

I did forget to mention the phone call I got from Jeff one night...
He says " if you have any second thoughts about this purchase I can always find you another car" I didn't have any second thioughts & he then admits that he had evil ideas about the car for himself.
Eric as soon as I save some cash I'll send a little business your way.

Yeah you did tell me what a nice job it was..
I was a little afraid to start with the hammer, once I had a couple of buds in me I started in , you're right "smooth as a babies butt". I might have a "no Bondo flare job.
I think I'm gonna have to stop pretty soon to go dry Janet off again.
