914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Is the early 911 oil filler neck the same as the 914/6?

I was at the porsche bone yard today and I was looking at an early 911 oil tank and the oil filler neck on it sure did look like it could be used on a 914/6 tank. Is it the same? If not is it close enough to not cause grief with the dip stick.

I guess that would lead to my next question of would the dipstick work too.

Yes, same with the oil filter console. Grab that if you can. Dipstick is different though.

The six dipstick is longer.

Yeh, you eleben owners are a bit short in the dipstick.

Thanks guys, I went back to the bone yard today and scooped it up. Now I have the filter console and the filler neck so I just need a tank
