High idle Have a 1975 914 2 liter with weber carb Idles fine when first started Idles high 1400rpm when warm Any thoughts on why it is doing this?

Have you checked for a vacumn leak, it doesn't have to be very big to cause this.

welcome.png sorry i am another FI guy. In my FI engine i had High rpms once it it was a vacuum leak. if i remember it was my MPC that broke.

carbs will idle faster once engine has warmed up. you must compromise with the tuning. if you set the idle at full eng operating temp, you may need to feather the pedal till she warms up. early 911s had a pull cable to set the idle high till warm
