Fits using top posts.

There are a few models of red top though (34, 34R 75/25, 34/78, 78).

If you have a problem getting it in the garage try putting the top down. I'm not sure why Nissan would make the red top any taller than the black one though confused24.gif

I got the battery at Costco, it came with the hold-down as well as some spacers. I used one on the backside to make a snug fit.

The battery hold down is avalible from Optima. Call and ask for the group 78 adapter.

I recall my Optima came with a plastic cover as part of the retail packaging. The hold down and spacers were wedged in the plastic cover.

there was recall on Altimas for airbag issues

My Altima bit the dust a long time ago , but my Oltima batteries(Marne aplications) have worked great for over 4 years. Und heard of in this appplication. Restrictive to vibration and heat of Big diesles.
