very cool
I just wonder why the insert says "#94 Porsche 914/6 GT 2 liter" at a standard body /6 ...?
o.k. - it has a front oil cooler and a hot looking engine ...
funny that they raced it with steel wheels

How many others can state that they were at that race. I was and have the program to prove it. I'm probably in the video but at a distance.
I could only get 5:04 of the video to play.

Don't know if this has been posted before, but it looks like it's just been put up on the MeaneyRacing.com site. Very cool shots of the cars, race course, pit action and the crowd.

BTW, this is my 914th post. Mostly meaningless drivel, but you folks have taught me everything I know.....well almost. Here's to a great group that keeps me entertained and edumacated.
You need to stop at 914 !
Very cool ! Thanks for finding this Marc !

I wondered the same thing. Maybe Jeff can ask Mr Meaney about that.

Had a bunch of GT parts on it.

Hey Kelty,
You only get one crack at the 914th post, how was it?
I wonder who made the film? Not like everyone had a video camera in 1970,
the background music really is great, perfectly date stamps the documentary.
Maybe someone from Meaney Racing will give us a little more background story.

#914 was a real milestone. I actually brought something meaningful to The World. It probably would have been more fitting to just post something like:
in some wandering thread, but my post whore instincts need some fine tuning. When you get close to #914 I'll be glad to give you some tips.

You done yourself proud
Maybe you should start thinking about Boveys #9114 first, he will reach it before I get to 914.

#9114? Didn't know there was a 911-4, thought they were all -6.
I think Bovey's next milestone is 9144 or in his case, 9146. But either way, we probably don't have too long to wait.

Steel Wheels
Street Interior
...I couldn't see a Roll cage, but one might have been there
Easy Open Gas Cap
About 5 minutes in, the 914 zips by the 911
The flagman with the stogie ... Wow, who's uncle is he? High Octane and a Cuban!
Elvis was in the Grandstands
