Its going back in soon and its got some crud inside.Local radiator shops dont have the boiling tanks anymore
Mike
I've used "Red Devil" lye which I get at some grocery stores or Home Depot. It is sold as a drain cleaner. It can get pretty hot when mixed with water. If you get a strong solution of it on your skin it will 'saponify' the fat in your skin (kind of like turn you to soap----or maybe soup). Really bad to get in your eyes. So wear goggles and nitrile gloves and don't shake the tank over your head . That all said, in an hour it will strip all the glop out of a oil or fuel tank for that matter.
What about gas or kerosene wouldnt that cut the crud..and then evaporate ??
NOTE!!!! but thanks anyway....I used solvent and then lots of brake cleaner came out ok i suppose
