I aquired a set of P&C's from a guy, I believe they are NPR. 3 of the 4 pistons have these spots where material was removed. Could it be they have been balanced?

I guess I should pick up the crank and rods since they too look to have material removed in a similar fashion.

Yup, NPR's..

The steel strips are telltale..

Some take weight of the ID of the piston pin....

Seems they may run a little thicker wall than most piston pins..
