i thought for sure the rubber motor mounts had gone bad - i jacked up the car and started the engine - and realized it was at least one rear one was bad - luckily i had two new 911 type laying around - installed them and engine idles with no bounce now : ) lucky for me as this is the limit of my mechanical abilities, well this and installing gas in the tank : ))

good eye - rusty nuts and bolts - busted : ))

grade 8 stainless would have been sweet ??

You are missing the big cup washers that prevent your tranny from sliding off the mounts! huh.gif

dang it : )

they of course were not there when i started the project or else - i PROBABLY -would have put them back on : ))

i'll have to put up a set at the hershey swap next week.

I personally would not use stainless bolts on this but high tensile ones, I know it is not high stress but there you go stainless where there is little stress in volved.
