914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Opinions about Brake-Squeal-B-Gone

OK, I'm running performance pads and I'm aware that performance pads tend to be noisy. But I don't like it.

So the other day, I bought some orange stuff in a tube at the FLAPS that you apply to the back of the pad. The claim is that it helps to reduce, maybe eliminate, the noise.

Anybody have any success with this stuff? What about preferred brand? Secrets for application?

Thin coat. Does it work ? I've used it on other cars, The only thing I can tell you is it seems to "bond the pad" to the piston and caliper body. This allows for the pad to retract when the pedal pressure is gone. I've never had it get rid of the squeal from the pads at braking. Just the little chirp chirp while driving some cars. The only way I know of is to make sure the leading edge of the pad has a chamfer on it. The 914 pads are sooo small, don't think I would try that on these.
