914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Factory Manual on CD for 911 (964) now out!!!

Posted by: Mueller Jan 9 2003, 02:54 PM

I was just "spammed" by a fellow in the Netherlands offering this on CD...all 7 editions....not bad for $20 (not that I condone such activity cool.gif )

These things are spreading like wildfire....

I'm half suprised no one has downloaded any of the Manuals onto Kazaa smile.gif

The guy comes up to me and says: "well, eh, yeah, but your car is all setup for this kinda stuff"
DUH!

I already Paypal'd him for it...no big deal...it's easily worth $20 to me smile.gif

CD ??? Is it like PET or is it scanned manual ?? Is it only about 911 ?? From which year to which year ??

How many euros ??

Jeroen, can you help ??

This BB is great. Now I know why there have been so quiet in PP´s BB. Thanks for everybody. beerchug.gif

Timo

Timo,

As of a few minutes ago, that would be 19 Euro's.....

This particular one is for the 964 series cars....89 to 94, but a lot of it still covers the earlier cars.

I'm sure someone else has to have the early 911 Service Manual on CD...it's just asking the right person, if I find one, I'll get back to you. I'll ask Jeko if he knows.

I'll need a copy also.. for SSI.

Hey Timo.. great shot of your car.

Has it been quiet elsewhere ?? People must be working on their 914's.

I'm not afraid to give them away to members.

Lets put them on the server and have a Downloads link from the BBS.

I have a few other programs (gear calc, engine calc) that I planned to share.

I also have IE6 for club members to download. I need to go over the graphics with you before I distribute it. We can put our colors and logo's all over it with built in tool bar links to the club site.

Hey, Mueller... I've got another CD that someone burned for me that needs copying. I hope it's OK; most of the stuff on it isn't cooperating right now. (Can't read from most of the files.) I'm hoping it's just some Mac/PC compatibility BS. Gonna try it on my roommie's Windoze box when I get the time.

No, I can't really say what it is. But this is a 914 BBS....

You can say anything you want on this BBS Dave. Legal issues notwithstanding.

Posted by: Mueller Jan 13 2003, 04:58 PM

Lemme guess what it is?? tongue.gif

I've got one also,
but mine has "extra" info added to it.....

soon to be "distributed" just for the asking......

Posted by: Gint Jan 13 2003, 08:06 PM

OK, I'm askin'. Get that /6 on the road yet?

Posted by: Brad Roberts Jan 13 2003, 08:14 PM

I'll answer.

Carbs kits are AWOL. I *might* have them tomorrow.. Stupid wholesale people sent them to Hawii by accident. They where not smart enough to send me another set...NOOOO they had to wait until the first ones sent out where located and sent back to SmellA.

Mueller,

I'd be interested in one of those for my RS America. Let me know if thats possible.

Posted by: Mueller Jan 14 2003, 12:45 AM

Hey Dennis, no problemo.......do I get to take the RS out for a cruise around the block biggrin.gif

Mike

Hmmm.... "Extra"? Well, this one has many megabytes of stuff over the "basic" stuff. Including at least one thing that I actually created myself! Kinda funny seeing it come back to me by another route! wink.gif

Oh, and the problems I was having were indeed some kinda odd PC-Mac thing. Read on my roommie's Windoze box with no problems whatsoever. Awfully handy, that...

Send me a list of your "extra's" if you don't mind.....I know that this "other" 914 CD has gone thru a couple of revisions (blank pages taken out), color wiring diagrams, etc, etc...

I guess it's no big deal having a few different versions out there as long as whatever info is correct............
