I need to get a new drivers side spindle and had someone pm me about purchasing spindles from a 74, i know the ball joints are different. what i was wondering was, can i put late type ball joints in my 1972 control arms to accept the spindle from a 74? Will my brake calipers still fit correctly as well on the 74?

Yes, the ball joints can be installed in the early control arms. No, the calipers (and rotors) won't fit (unless you allready have the weird inbetween struts)

check your vin, too... late 72 has the 73+ front end, in which case, the 74 calipers and rotors do work... 4722919032 is the cut-off, if it's higher than that... you are golden.

mine even had the brackets for the stock front sway bar.
