Yes it is a fuel cell from Patrick MS, it's not cheep but made well (not so hot on red) the only thing I had to do is fabricate a filler neck for my 914/6 not to big of a pain! We will have to see how it works out long term. Thanks

You have a very well detailed car. Don't you wish it would look that good forever? I could be wrong but I think you are a little optimistic on the tack though? Course maybe if you missed 4th and got second it would be useful if it has a telltale. I really hope thats not in the cards though.

I would suggest a grommet or "escutcheon" to go around the handle on the left side of the dash. You can see the edge of the vinyl around that, and it looks unfinished. Especially when compared to all of the other amazing stuff in that car!

Where can I find those square silver hold-down hood pin doo-hickies that you've installed in the corners of the front decklid?
My race car hood the corners are lifted and those would be perfect for my car and look nice as well.

The new shift coupling is called a Apex joint, it is not a kit. This is all the handy work of Bill Pfister at Eurotech Advanced Automotive in Framingham Ma. He machined the flange from Duralon and then used a steering rack bellows from a 944, with another Duralon bushing at the end so the shaft can rotate without twisting the bellows.

One of the cars that made me fall in love with 914's was Rainer Hummel's 914/6GT, you can see photos of his car on PBase (914GT) the best I can say in my defense is copying is the sincerest form of flattery. Ben

How do you like the muffler? I have one sitting here waiting for my car to get back from the shop. I'm curious how much different and/or louder the sound is and also if you've noticed any affect on the powerband versus other exhaust setups you might have tried?
I have been using a Dansk 2-in/2-out but its sound and look never really grew on me. And my days of open megaphones (at the track) are probably over, since I'm practically deaf in my left ear now.

Cool, thanks. I did not get a chance to install mine yet. I'm going to do Wevo trans mounts, the muffler, and fix my rear swaybar at the same time since that seems to make sense while that end of the patient is open, so to speak.
I'd be interested in the thru-hood fuel filler setup. I think I can source a cap locally but the filler neck is not something I've seen as a ready to install kit. I have the Patrick cell also.
Did you buy or make the front lid pins and the base plates in particular? That's another thing I need ASAP. As I recall the hood pins are pretty much standard-issue but the base plates are fabbed from stainless (1/16" or so) that is cut and bent a particular way?
Cheers,
