I read an earlier post about spark plugs and Brad
had mentioned that they use Bosch W7DC.
I picked up some W7DC plugs today but the electrode seems to protrude farther than the W7CC plug.
What should I gap them at?
Has nobody ever gapped there plugs?
Im not sure but I gab mine at .28
My car with Pertronix ran at .050".
According to the Bosch Spark Plug Application Guide the spark plug code breaks down as follows:
W - 14 mm threads
7 - Heat range (2 = coldest, 11 = hottest)
D - Thread reach 3/4" (0.708" with tapered seat) Extended Tip Electrode
C - Copper core spark plug
W - 14 mm threads
7 - Heat range (2 = coldest, 11 = hottest)
C - Thread reach 3/4" Regular Electrode
C - Copper core spark plug
THrow the bosch plugs away and get some NGK B7ES or maybe a B6ES depending on temp, engine setup and driving style.
