I have been looking for a good copy of this old poster.
I am interested in the 914 in the background.
Anyone here have it?

I have it.
What do you need to know about the 914?
I think it might be the car that Glenn just bought.

Is that the Altec Lansing 914??
I don't think its the Altec car. Flares aren't big enough to be it.
I'll get out the poster tonight and have a look for sure.
It could be the Altec Lansing 914 though the writing on the nose and the windshield eyebrow in the poster is different than the ad. In the poster the number 87 is almost readable? Of course those things change on the car through the years. My first thought was that it could be the Walt Mass 914 (Automotion). It looks like it's the Altec Lansing car. Can't see a rear spoiler in the poster though. As stated though, decals and body parts can change weekly......
I think your right URY, flares look a bit smaller but its still hard to be sure...also looks like some kind of central wiper on the front glass too..looks like a cool car. It would be cool to see some nice clean close up shots of the car
Paul,
It looks to be Laguna Seca 1975, I think it is the #51 Hotchkis/Kirby in brown?
I believe this to be my white IMSA car. I would love to see a scan or picture of the car! The car has the front strut ends protruding thru the hood.

Did you know that 911 later won the IMSA GTO Championship in 1978?
I'll see if I can lay the poster on my scanner and get the car.
That would be Great!!!
Glenn,
Here you go....
It appears to be dark brown and #51. According to RacingSportsCar.com was driven by John Hotchkis and Robert Kirby.

This poster was called "Wheel Lifting Carrera".
I always called it "914 Catches 911"
I saw one of the posters for sale on eBay today, can't remember the catagory, but either under 914-6 or 914GT

Thanks Paul,
You can see the shocks thru the hood, to bad they focused the shot on the 911.

Here is a better shot showing the hood...

It's amazing that both these cars still exist after racing against each at Sebring over 30 years ago.
