hi, im looking at buying some calipers and rotors from the classifieds that are from a 72, i believe mid 72 theres is a difference, how can i tell if calipers and rotors are early or late and what is the difference, im looking one for a 73 2.0 im restoring. any info would be a great help
If the car has the hubcentric ring on the rotor, it's late. If not, it's early.
Mostly.
The Cap'n
The 73 style rotors are hub centric and do not work on early models. I bought a pair of rotors that were for a 72 and they do not work on my 72 because of production differences during that year. I suggest getting them for a 73 or newer.
The rotors on the car are for a 73 and up. The new ones (that dont fit) are for the 70 - 72ish model years.

The other difference is that the calipers are single and double bleeders. Unfortunately, one major caliper rebuilder used to take single bleeders and drill them for the second bleeder, so you never know.
