914World.com _ 914World Garage _ My race car's new home

I sold the 914 a while back to a VW collector who also has a few Porsches and it appears that the car has gotten settled into it's new life as a museum piece! I think it will do a race once a year in the area for vintage cars. Here's a link to the website with picts.

Si, that is what it says, mainly for the races I was doing in Mexico as the car and the "old blond driver" were a big hit with the kids and they all wanted autographs and such! I posted the car on The Samba since I have been a member on there since my VW drag racing days and 914s are part VW you know and Dr. Norman gave me a call.

..."the car will be retired from racing" so sad. John, when the car came up for sale I had just spent a ton elsewhere. I guess timing is everything. I would have loved to put her through her paces. I liked everything you did in that car...built with purpose
