914World.com _ 914World Garage _ E Brake Cable

Posted by: jim_hoyland Aug 27 2009, 10:47 AM

I adjusted the rear calipers and reset the adjustment for the e-brake cable by the firewall--the one with a jam nut. It looks like most of the threads are showing on the pass side cable now. Does this cable need to be replaced ? or am I missing something ?

How does the equalizer bar look inside by the brake handle cable? it should be fairly straight (perpendicular) to the two e-brake cables.

How much pad do you have? Adjust venting clearance first.

Took pic with ebrake on. looks like they are out of balance. So, I'll loosen the pass side and take in the driver side.

Pads are fine, Venting clearance .004

I think I see the problem now, thnks for the tip
