Last night I went to bed at midnight, slept like crap, woke early... and despite that, I feel great today! I'm productive, happy. alert. Couldn't figure it out at first. Then I realized it must have been the drive to work. I got the 914 out of winter hibernation last night and drove it to today. Wow. I can't believe the effect it has on my mood. You guys experience this sort of thing? It's kind of like the T-shirt I saw that read "You'll never see a motorcycle in front of a psychiatrist's office." Ok, I've got to keep this productivity roll going, so back to work I go. Later gang.

I know what you mean. When I am driving my truck to work, I take the most boring direct route. This week I been driving my 914 and I rip right through the old downtown section of Pleasanton with a shit eatin grin. I like hearing my exhaust poppin at the multiple stop signs!
Amen! I can't drive mine to work, but when I do get a chance to run it around a curve or two on the weekend it totally changes my outlook also.
I could use an overdose of it right about now! I just keep thinking of how fun it will be when I get my motor finished and installed and I HIT second for the first time .
Bliss happens for me when test driving 3.2 and V8 Powered 914's every other day...
I need a daily driver.

Brad,
You should talk to the guy in Redwood City. I think his name is Rick. He has lots of 914's to choose from.
I get exactly the same thing. One of my happiest years ever was when I got to drive the spitfire to work in england every day on a twisty and lightly trafficed B-road that had a few passing places and 2 tight s-bends. I figured out the line for the s curves very quickly and was able to take them about about 50-55 where most people were doing 20-30.
The 914 causes a similar shit-eating-grin every time I drive it.
Good T shirt I can attest ..today! With the cold dense air up here in the NW Its just damn difficult to keep that front wheel on the ground
