About 3/4 through the movie George Clooney is riding in the passenger seat talking on the phone. The car is a open targa, the back pad looks like a 914. Then there is a night shot of the rear of the car pulling up to a house. It's a quick glimpse but I think it's a 914. If it is I thought it would be strange to have a 914 in a current movie. Did anyone else see this?
Very interesting. I saw an episode of E.R. that had George Clooney opening the rear trunk of a 914.
Apparently, someone needs to get George Clooney to join our club!
what movie?
The one in the subtitle: Intolerable Cruelty. Good movie by the way. Very funny, the Cohen brothers have a touch.
ah... i thought they were cruel to the car

Wrigley is one of these great characters. “He completely worships the ground that Miles walks on,” says Adelstein about his character. “Everything that he has is a knock-off of something of Miles’ – his watch, his suits, Miles drives a 2002 Porsche, Wrigley drives a 1975 Porsche . He is a cutthroat divorce lawyer, very good at what he does, but he can’t help crying hysterically at weddings because he’s such a softy on the inside.”

Catherine Zeta Jones is pretty cute though, huh?
I had a short film run around the country in 2002. In the film my old '76 2.0L was driven by two guys who were subsequetly 'shot' by the lead actress.
It was nice to put the car on the big screen and the feature film version of the short will feature the car a little more prominantly.
They are awsome cars, cheated by bad marketing and BIG MUSCLE car America.
HA, to the mini's!!!
914's nothing like them on the planet.
Hey guys I watched the movie Intolerable Cruelty last night! It has Catherine Zeta Jones & George Clooney. I'm watching it with the wife last night. It's about 3/4 of the way thru & I can't say it was great. All of a sudden George is riding with his lawyer friend somewhere. It just show a side view of them inside the car. You don't actually see the 914 until they stop. Anyway something is looking familiar about that back window. I move up in my seat & I'll be darned if I don't see this light sitting in the middle of the backpad. I just about jump out of my seat telling my wife. IT'S A 914! IT'S A 914! IT'S A 914! Then I can see the details a little better. I clearly see the seat backs & am sure the car is in fact a 914. When they stop the lighting sucks too. Anyone who isn't familiar with 914's would never see what is was!
Anyway it has probably allready been posted. I can't say the movie kicks but or anything. It was worth it just for the 914 sighting though
I saw one the other day that hasn't been credited yet:
Annie Hall - the Woody Allen Movie. At the end of the film, Woody and Annie are having lunch in LA, and a blue 914 drives by on the street behind her head.
Fiid.
I said the same thing when I saw Intollerable Cruelty. My girlfriend didn't seem to care. It sure didn't sound like a 914, did it?
No it didn't sound like on at all! I thought that was a little weird. I guess we needed to be able to hear them talking with the top off. Would have been nice to see Cathren in there too with her top off too
Here ya go!

I couldn't find the actual stunt although.

Watching movie last night, damn if george clooney and some other guy were riding in a red 914.
It was a night scene and first you just see the interior, later you see the car from the rear skid to a stop. Just a few seconds but a nice suprise.
dr
In the last month while channel surfing I have seen some 914's in older movies.
In the Movie Vacation Chevy Chase goes into the sporting good store
to purchase an air pistol. Parked outside the store is a White 914 with the Top off
and a Surf Board sticking out.
In the Dolly Parton Movie 9-5 I saw 2 914's. They just find out the boss went to the
Hospital and they come flying out of the parking garage. Just before the car comes
out of the garage a 914 zips accross the screen I think its silver.
Next scene they arrive at the Hospital parking lot and park next to a really nice looking 914... Might even be a 914/6 its Black or a dark color
i wonder if clooney owns a 914 in real life. there were a few scenes of him in one when he was on ER.
kevin
A few years ago I was watching news coverage of one of the fires/floods/mud slides in California and during an interview with a homeowner I saw a silver 914 with flares drive by in the background. Ok, sure, maybe not big news in California but in Brackney, PA it's an event. Wondered if it belonged to anyone that ended up here...

Nominate this for classic thread status "914's in the Media"
Listing of of the Print and Movies you can catch a glimps of our favorite diversion
Spotted a 914 in 1987 movie "Roxanne" with Steve Martin and Daryl Hannah.
Didn't Get Smart drive up in a 914 at the start of the show? I know he had an Opel GT and maybe an Karmann Ghia. Yeah, I'm reminiscing...
Sunbeam Tiger
Now there is a cool car. Power to spare. If you look into obtaining one, nice ones are $20K +
They are cool cars. I have a buddy of mine that owns one that was passed down from his Dad. The Dad was the second owner. My buddy is very knowledable of the Tigers and he's qualified/certified to authenticate a car as a Tiger. When I started looking at restoring a car, he wanted me to get a Tiger and he would have helped with the restoration. We couldn't find one that was for sale, before I found the 914 I have. He knew a neighbor that had a MK II that needed restoration, but the guy wouldn't fix it or sell it. Hopefully he can get the guy to sell it and finally get a great car back on the road.
Before you think that James was watching the lifetime channel, I would like everyone to know that this is Hiedi,
Seen a 914 in "Switched at Birth", parked in the hospital parking lot.
Hiedi
Last week, during the first several minutes of the TV movie, 10.5, there was a red flared fendered 914 partially buried under some Seattle rubble.
Rockford Files man! Jimmy's lady friend was in several episodes and she drove
a 914. Garner had a few episodes where he was getting a ride from her also. There was a 914 in that episode he got beat up. 853OKG
There's a blue 914 drives accross in the background in "Annie Hall" the Woody Allen movie. It's towards the end when they do Brunch in LA.
hey, i saw 9 to 5 today, well at least the part with the 914s. the 1st one was silver with steel wheels and hubcaps, i think it was a 6. the exhaust looked like a stock 6 exhaust. the second one looked black, looked like the sail and targa trim were blacked out and the rear bumper was black. it had 4 lug fuchs and what looked like a monza 4 tip exhaust. funny that the 2 were in the same hospital scenes. what's with 914s and hospital scenes?!?
9 to 5 was on the AMC channel and it's scheduled to come on again overnight and tomorrow.
now i got to see the other movies!!
My wife is wondering why I'm interested in watching 9 to 5 with her...
914's CAN bring couples closer
There's a nice Seattle WA 914 featured in a "Trading Spaces" episode.
I had a MkII Tiger. The last model made after Chrysler bought Rootes and killed the Tiger because it didn't want to sell a Ford product. It had a small Chrysler five star emblem on the one front fender, Ford engine, mfg by Rootes. Talk about a bastard child. I miss the car but the rear suspension was no good for twisties.
i thought i remembered seeing a similar web site for 914's only, but check out this link for porsche's in the movies.....http://obin_jess.tripod.com/porschemovies.html
Damn. 14 popups on one website.
Watched Murder by Numbers (Sandra Bullock) and saw an orange 914. It pulled into a parking space in the background during the scene where Richie Haywood was on a pay phone with the D.A. Did anybody else catch it?
I've got another sighting that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere.
In "Menace II Society" some guys are in a parking garage and steal a car and are blocked in by the police when they try to drive out. They try to run and hide behind
some other cars--one is a white 914! Not especially my type of movie--just happened to park on that particular channel long enough to catch another rare sighting
Right after Carrie pushes her mother onto the bed when she is leaving to go to the prom, they cut to a wide shot of people walking up the street to enter the prom, there is an Olympic blue teener dominating the lower left corner of the screen.
So can we guess what your watching right now?
I missed it ...next time
must have been mine!
Intolerable cruelty - when George Cluny and his aid are racing to his house to stop weazy joe from killing Catherine Z!
It was amazing - and guess who pointed it out that it was a 914 almost as quickly as I did?
My wife - so there.
Score.
That was was brought up before, it's a red 6. The ones that are cool is, if you rent old movies from the 70's you see a lot of them. I was watching reruns from the 70's on Nick at night and there are almost always 914's in those.
anyone ever see the white one w/ the surf board in the ozwald's family vacation...they get back to town in the beat up wagon and theres one sitting on the street.
I see alot late at night on the old re-runs of C.H.I.P.s
A ton of bugs as well, pretty cool.
On ER Clooney's character drove a 914 once. One of his many cars I saw him with on that show. It was an episode were he was helping coach a little league team of the sonof his girlfriend at the time.
There's one sitting on the corner in "Almost Famous"
here's a picture for Aaron
he didn't say it had to be a good one
Attached image(s)
Yeah the one in the movie vacation was a white 75 or 76 with rivera rims on it.
ya i saw the one in Uintolerable cruelty but you can only see the interior and a small part of the body. the light on the seat pad and the grille under the windshield gave it away.
theres also a yellow 4 in the 80's movie called Roxan - with SEVE MARTIN
We saw that movie in the theaters... I yelled (quitely) to my wife
"That's a 914!!!!"
She says "Yeah, you can tell by the interior light and it's a two-seater"
God I love her...
Later,
Tom
Today I was watching USA and the movie was "Money Talks", I think, with Chris Tucker. Then there is a scene were they block off a bridge and first car they stopped was a yellow 914. I just thought it was cool and exciting.
Don't those jerks know our cars overheat when stuck in traffic?
But...it was a fast overheat...
why not, here's a hint to the only other 914 sighting I've seen on film.
www.gbs.com-033-sophia
if you figure it out, no judgements please, there are only two uses for the internet
It was 6 months before I ever noticed it, a white 75-76 with Empi wheels I think
caught Intolerable Cruelty on an AmericanAirlines flight from DFW to LAX a couple years back,.. They actually get in a 914 and drive!
There is a film that I saw a few years ago that had a 914 as the main car... it was pretty beat up and was hand painted, but still looked cool ;-)

I'm guessing you are talking about Rancid Aluminium. The 914 features heavily although it was painted matt black and looked a bit run down. |

Verdict: If you're in the mood for a nice British caper, go rent Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels or Snatch. This movie is guilty of having too many plot holes and is sentenced five to ten for a sloppy script. |
In the movie "Roxanne", with Steve Martin as the fire department chief, there is a yellow 914 parked outside the bookstore in a seen where he is walking out of it. It has riviera wheels and the molding across the sides down the middle. Nice car.
This may be another 914 sighting in a movie.
I started watching The Odessa File with John Voight this afternoon on TCM. About 5 minutes into the film, taking place in Germany, what appears to be a red 914 is seen driving down the street at night. It all happened so quickly, I may be completely wrong here. Although the plot centers around Germany in 1963, it's possible that was a 914 due to the year the film was made, 1974. Has anyone else seen the film and seen the scene I'm referring to?
there's a whte 75' 914 in the movie Cheech & Chong "Up In Smoke" it's in the scene where the cops dressed up as monks are robes are crossing the street to sneak into a theater...
White 914 in National Lampoon's Vacation. It's parked on the curb with a surf board sticking out of the open targa top when Chevy Chase AKA Clarke Griswold is buying the BB gun at the sporting goods store.
So this weekend, I was flipping the channels, and came across what was possibly the absolute WORST movie ever made. A complete waste of film:
"Class of 1999.. Part II"
About a killer cyborg substitute teacher..... that kills students, faculty, etc. I still can't believe there was a part 1.... nevermind part 2.
Nevertheless.. there was a great 914 sighting..... on the street, when the boyfriend of the lead actress is trying to run over the gang member when he was hanging out on the street corner dancing--LOL
Showed the 914 like 3 times!!
It was the best part of the movie!!
Only Porsche they could afford for the movie
I just saw a white 914 pass Dirty Harry on the bay bridge in the Dead Pool!
Saw 2 different teeners in the movie "9 to 5" the other day.
Just had another movie having 914 content: The Fury with Kirk Duglas and Amy Irving made in 1978. Amy Irving and her "Mother" drive to some institute and they park in front of a Irish green 914. It's playing now on the FMC channel.
About 1/2 way thru the movie "Thief" with James Caan 1981
The police stop Caan just as he is about to enter a onramp and a blue 914 has to detour around the stop.......
I posted this one before, but there is one in 9 To 5, on the street, and then again a minute later when they park in a parking ramp to bring dabny coleman's character to the hospital after they poison him!
I saw Nine to Five last night oddly enough. I think it had at least three teener cameos. If you think of more, feel free to add them here: http://orca.mojam.com/914/TeenerMovies

Also one in National Lampoons Summer Vacation , while they are in so-cal, , as Mr. Griswald is crossing the street to buy his stick up gun, he walks around a white late model (BBB car) 914

I know there's a stunt movie out there, with a close-up shot of Driving the car in many scene as well as shots of it carrenning around corners.
For the life of me,I'haven't been able to find the title of the movie, and it's not "Stuntman"
Story about, some one is killing the stuntman/woman
God I wish I have that movie!
The movie "Carrie" , as Carrie and her escort are walking up a hill towards the
Gym where they held the prom. Looked like a 73 and clean.
A few weeks back I saw another movie having 914 content: The Fury with Kirk Duglas and Amy Irving made in 1978. Amy Irving and her "Mother" drive to some institute and they park in front of a Irish green 914. The 914 is there in several other scenes as well.
This topic comes up again and again every couple of months, but I thought you might all be interestedin this website. It has pictures of your beloved car

I know of a movie, has A LOT of 914 SCENCES, something about stunt men and women. some guy ,racing along some Cali. coast.
lots' of inside shots as he drives it
But don't know the name of the movie.
I'm hopeing somebody remembers the name of the movie.
Story about stunt mens and women are being killed in stunts.
They even drive the PO (Killed) motorcycles off of a cliff, along some coast.
Viking style ?
SOMEBODY has to have seen it!!
BTW not called "The Stunt man" (I have it)
There's a brief glimpse of a nice looking 914 in this clip from the pilot episode of Sabrina the Teenage Witch
http://www.mediafire.com/?4qzhqvdnw7k (2.1 mb)
majkos,
Thankyou!
I knew I wasn't having one of those flashbacks my parents warned me about..I do remember this movie. My recollection was yellow - maybe even a six. Up and down the coast, stunt drivers and I, too searched (and watched) "stuntmen/stuntman, etc" and came up empty. The movie does exist, but I've never seen it again.
I, too don't remember the name of his movie.
(Apologies to Jimmy Buffett - for bastardizing one of his lines)
How can that website have possibly left out the teener (with surf board no less!) in the original National Lampoon Vacation???!!!
do a search on this site. there have been many threads on this subject, and some good links provided
Saw a shot of a 914 Fuchs wheel at the beginning of a Cars video on TheTube music video channel.
Without the rest of the car unfortunately.
Cheers,

if anyone watches the show 'scrubs' in the first episode of the 4th season there is a yellow 914 in one shot where they are riding their vespa's down the street..i made my friends rewind it like 4 times so i could see it again...it looks like an early car, pre bumper pad
And what about that red one on the Golden Gate Bridge in The Graduate, uh, uh, oh, sorry, never mind...

My two sons have been into watching animal movies lately so I checked out netfix's animal movies and found an oldie that I has seen as a boy... C.H.O.M.P.S.
Watching it last night, I was excited to see Valerie Bertineli driving a white 914 throughout the movie. Lots of great 914 footage!
If she drives a 914 throughout the movie, I'm gonna have to buy the DVD.
I quit getting excited over Valerie Bertinelli years ago. Those were the days!
Another sighting (not movie related) - the latest Groits Garage catalog.
who is Valerie Bertinelli ????
Fat Broad on the Jenny Craig Weight Loss Commercials
(but she used to be "HOT")
eddie vanhalen's ex. she was in a show called "one day at a time" during the 70's(?). she was really cute. still is. mckensey(sp) phillips played her sister. really good looking sister and really not so much good looking sister. bings the old Lovin' Spoonful song to mind.

By the way I didn't found the entry in the IMCDb.org
Would be great to add this movie to the data base.
GD!!-Valerie Bertinelli and a 914. Lets do a group buy!
I just bought the DVD on Ebay, the guy has 181 copies of it. Cheap!

I was watching a movie on FX yesterday.
Some flick about this idiot guy who need 30,000 bucks to pay for his marriage ceremony and his niece's college tuition. He ends up deciding to rip off his soon-to-be step father. There's a scene where he pulls out of a parking spot, and there is a zambezi green teener in the space behind him.
Here's a second scene from the movie. The car looks really good in white and with those wheels.

My Tivo caught a good ol 70 pic called "The Killer Elite" the other day. In it James Caan is a CIA operaitve that gets dbl X'ed
His ride is a 911 that is in a couple of sceans and meets one of his boys on a hilltop in SF whos driving what looks like a /6
Neat shot as both cars are side by side

There was some cheesy racing movie with Steve Guttenberg that also had a 914 in it, though I certainly don't remember the name of it.
I think I said it here before... C.H.O.M.P.S. - Valerie Bertinelli drives a white 914 with I believe chrome western wheels.
My favourite is early on in "The Odessa File", while the credits are still appearing, there is a shot of a German street, at night, in the rain.
A 914 passes the camera, headlights-up.
While watching Michael Keyser's " The Speed Merchants " DVD , I saw a few shots of 914's in it .
The first shot was early in the beginning , showing early shots of Sebring 12 hr race , of a head on shot of an orange 914 . There was a white 914 quickie shot also in the Sebring venue . There was also I believe a 914 in the LeMans section of the DVD .
I did have a pic from a porno with a yellow 914 in it but I can't find it now.
they list a couple suburbans here for "money talks, (©1997)".
but not the nine-fricken' four-fricken teen that almost wrecks into them right after this still...
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_84280-Chevrolet-Suburban.html
there, i contributed!
there is that one, (money talks) and there is another one that involves a bank robbery, and the green 914 is outside. Can't remember the name, but it was a funny movie. It had the star from "My Name is Earl"
edit, its in stealing harvard**

There have been a few threads on this topic. I spotted a 914 recently in Lethal Weapon (1 or 2 can't remember for sure they were on consecutively).
I saw a 914 turning out of an alley on TMZ (tv show) the other day. Called my wife over to show her.
I could not find an online version of the clip though.
I'm too lazy to go through the registration process to post a new entry
but there are several scenes with a red 914 GT in the movie
Body of Influence 2. (late 90's cinemax style movie...)
It is the car driven by the brother of the leading man.
Attached are 2 frame grabs.

Saw a new/old one last night. 10 to Midnight a Charles Bronson flick from 83. Red 914 on the street.
Ferg
I was looking at the 914s in there and ran across this one i think its misidentified as a 73. it looks to me as a 70-72 possibly a /6 by the wheels.. although someone swears there is bumper tits on the front i dont see them...
whats everyone else think..
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_84741-Porsche-914-Typ-47-1973.html
No tits, looks like a reflection off the road onto the bumper. Kinda looks like 6 steelies but its hard to tell in that fuzzy shot.
Got one right at the beginning of Mel Brooks' Silent Movie....about 30 seconds after the opening screen. Lemme see if I can get a shot of it here at work.....
...yup! Sorry it is crappy...had other things to do....
Attached thumbnail(s)
In the movie Money Talks, right before they block off the bridge and blow up the bus to escape... those two Suburbans are the cars that block the traffic, though I think the 914 could have driven under them
Here it again and you can actually read the license...looks like "2TDG292"...anyone here????
They never ended up making a movie of it but... the novel "The Wind-Chill Factor" had a main character who drove a 914. His ex-wife still did mechanical work on it (if I recall correctly she adjusted the valves). Oh, and she was a mechanic-with benefits, as they still slept together too.
The book was also set in the Twin Cities, including a murder on the walking path around Lake Harriet.
I don't recall much about the plot, but I guess the home town, and 914 references factored in my wanting to read it.
I remember a movie a very long time ago with to girls in a 914 ! they said to the two boys in the hotrod if you can catch us you can have us....they ran out of gas during the chase.....LMAO....seems i remember it was around the same time as American graffiti
There is a 914 with a surf board in Vacation...
Just watched a episode of Hawaii Five-O where the bad guy drove a white one. cool.
"Get Christie Love" at about one hour into the movie (1:01:00) there's a silver 914 (possible '73) driving by.
Andy
In "Sudden Impact" with Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry Callihan there is a 914 visible when he is driving across the Golden Gate bridge near the start of the movie.
Let's not forget C.H.O.M.P.S. The 1979 movie about a robot dog with Valerie Bertinelli driving a white 914. As I remember it has several scenes with the 914......
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmpA6GRi1ok
We were watching Zodiac tonight, I was amazed by all the cool 70's cars that were in such good shape (including a very nice orange Rabbit). I mentioned to Val that I was waiting to see a 914.
About an hour later she says "914!" as this one drives past:
@ 2:28:36

I watched Intolerable Cruelty many years ago and could tell he was driving a 914 from the interior, they also showed it from the outside and confirmed my thought.
Whoops, forgot to mention it's the car George Clooney's character was driving.
914's appear regularly in the Rockford Files. Rockford's lawyer drove one. There's actually a scene where Jim borrows it and grinds first pretty badly before driving away! LMAO!
in the movie cannibal hookers the detective drives a blue 914
That's the one!
Yep,
Beth ( his lawyer), drove them in several episodes. I saw white, red, and green ones. The one where Jim was driving the red one ( or was it orange?), one scene was of him in a curve with both hands occupied and you hear the car shift gears. Movie magic!
Saw one in an add for a new movie. Has a thief saying " I only steal Porsches" and then cuts to a dark street and there is a black 914 in the background. YA! Hope I can remember the name of the movie so I can watch it.
Tom
t&a plus a nice 914
Attached image(s)
Thanks T.C.,
I guess that isn't a new movis after all! It is to me tho'. I'll be watching it at 6PM tonight.
Tom
Its strange how they (914's) have mostly
cameo role's!!
While only a Cameo in the Movie "LeMans" , it was a Star in the Race
Went to see "Hot Tub Time Machine" today (opened this past Friday), it was very funny, and best of all there was a 914 in the movie! For anyone going to see the movie, the 914 is parked on the right side of the main street of the town (they show this clip twice) and it's covered in snow.
Anyone else see it?
Cool.
Was the flick any good?
It was laugh out loud funny, I'd say its worth seeing.
BTW, the 914 looked to be an early one, chrome rear bumper and covered in snow
There's a 914 in the movie 9 to 5 (with Dolly Parton). It's near the hospital scene. I will have to Netflix it so I can screen shot it.......
One shot of one parked
another one driving....could be the same.
Wahoo!
The movie of the Mendnez bros. The ones who killed there parents (sp) Both had one.
I signed up with a new cable TV server here in Japan and they have this old movies and TV show channels and was watching an old episode of CHIPS and saw a 914 very briefly but it was over before I could even start to record it....
Hot Tub Time Machine
Right after Cusack gets stabbed in the eye, they cut to a street scene in the snow, white 914 bottom right with "Porsche" reflector between tail lights.
Hot Tub Time Machine @ 36:21 ....same one you saw Ferg? This one looks Phoenix Red and does not have a reflector.
Man talk about thread resurection!
I just saw this with my son....seriously addicted to notice...and the film as situated in the 80's .
I just saw this last night! yep. It is just me or does the rear tire look at an odd angle?
The Movie "The Mad Bomber" Has a silver one in it.
The driver gets fussed at for thinking he's special because of his fancy car, then the guys throws his keys in a trash can or mail drop, something like that.
My wife called me the other day to tell me that while trolling on the web she found an old clip of "The Facts of Life" and she said that Jo was wearing a 914 sweater.
Obscure, yet amazing that my wife noticed the 914 (maybe I've finally gotten to her)
I tried to have her find me the clip, but it might be lost out there, on them there intranets...
Alot of this is in our archives
but still interesting
Hot Tub Time Machine uses the car scene twice, once with the Vette and the Pacer driving towards the camera, and one without any driving.
They had to have a current 914 volunteer this for the lot, wonder who could have obliged?
just found that link in a german forum: http://www.zdf.de/ZDFmediathek/beitrag/video/267308/Muttersorgen?setTime=27#/beitrag/video/267308/Muttersorgen
it's a weekly movie about a rescue Helicopter team
1st time you can see the 914: about 09:30
and then from about 10:35 to almost min 20:00
pretty much TV time for the teener
I posted this in the sandbox, but for those who dont go there here is a tv show that has some great 914 footage: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5356133560914011324#
You KNOW they added the tire chirp on audio post.
Damn, she has a nice rack! Just sayin.
...is'nt that the girl that lifts george's
headlight's??(on 914)
I was excited that I spotted it in the movie and stopped it to get a screen shot!
Here's the screen shot.....Wahoo for 1986 and our little cars being a staple of that year it had to be put into a movie.
I NetFlix this one....so made it nice to stopped the movie (I had no idea it was coming and just happened to spot it)
Oh Yea, I also called the SLUG BUG too!
Cool.
So who's car is it?
looks like the license plate lights are on. Also, plate looks like a euro form factor. Can you see it any better in the actual movie? I enlarged it up and sharpened it, but couldn't make it out.
There has been quite a few 914s in movies:

I was watching Lifeguard (1976) with Sam Elliott. In the scenes below he interviews for a Porsche salesman position. He turns it down to stay as a lifeguard.
Neat seeing a new Teener in the showroom!

I remember how well he acted the part of someone totally uncomfortable in a tie.
Every time I put one on I get his scowl and wince as I tighten the noose
....Yeah the 914 is a movie* star*
Wow Sam was so young looking. He is a great actor. Loved him in Roadhouse.
Even cooler to see a young teener.
Reminds me of the parade 911 that was perfectly restored in Germany.
Just saw a 914 parked in front of the bank someone was entering to rob in the movie "Stealing Harvard" on Fox Movie Channel on Direct TV. Schedule says they will show movie again tomorrow at 2 pm Central time Sunday August 26, 2012 if anyone wants to get a quick glimpse. Camera better be fast as it only shows for a second or so. I think it is green but I am very colorblind.
If you get a photo, paste it in this thread. Thanks.
BTW, it is a very funny movie.

Saw one parked in a garage in an episode of Barter Kings. The guy who owned it had it decked out in racing garb and was trading a bad a$$ go-cart for something... can't remember what.
last weekend I watched "All the President's Men" (1976, Hoffman/Redford)
somewhen after an hour there was a top view on a parking lot that Hoffman and Redford left with their Volvo Amazon
I thought I saw a tangerine 914 for about 2 seconds, partial covered by a building part

This is ABSOLUTE PROOF beyond a shadow of a doubt that ONLY LATE, RUBBER-BUMPER CARS can move that good or handle big jumps!! So all you early bumper wanna-bes just shut-up!!
Viva la rubber bumper 914s!!!!!!

Damnit, I backdated mine! I guess I'll just have to settle for a little air.
WTB - Passenger door, replacement rim, front bumper, hood, turn signals, fuel tank.....
We could get it running again. No problems.
I laugh how the drivers face is filthy possibly covered with oil( which is possible ) and the next scene like he just stepped out of the shower. Don't people in texas drive like this every day??
During the chase the 914 is wearing Riviera rims and fuchs repro during the jump. there may be two different cars...
Watch closely when the 914 is landing. You can spot the camara that has been attached on the right side.
Slo mo ...

Why is it that dumb hot chicks are always flying out the passenger doors of our cars?
OK.. I am a bit intrigued by this movie, so I did some research online.
At 1:54, the 914 makes a turn from Washington Avenue onto North 6th street. This is where the girl tries to fall out of the car because she wasn't wearing a seat belt.
At 2:04, they had to reverse direction for filming, because they are then going south on North 6th street back in the direction of Washington avenue.
Using google maps, you can see the jail changes sides of the road. Also the building in the distance is distinctive.
At 2:27, the manage to jump one block northeast to 5th street, and that is where the white Ford crashes into the little cop scooter writing parking tickets.
You can tell because of the distinctive building with the diamond shaped insets.
2:33 The Ford crashes into the "Hub Clotheiers" shop. It's still there, although it has changed a bit.
At 2:43 they back up and reset for the sidewalk scene. The 914 driving on the sidewalk goes past the Hub Clotheiers on Austin Avenue, and then past the building with the ridges in the walls and the pillars. It's now a Bank of America, but I don't know what it was then.
At 3:00. still on Austin Avenue, they go past the guy on the ladder at the TSO building. The building is still there, but TSO is not. You can see the sign is still around.
At 3:06, they leave the curb at Austin Avenue and 6th street.
I think the bus jump happens at somewhere on Jackson street, but I can't be sure.
Other than an old RB47 taking off with rocket assist (RATO), dont think that I've never seen so much smoke coming out of an aerial vehicle...
Attached image(s)
Nice research! The 914 flies very well due to the perfect weight distribution.
With all the focus on shifting...I'm pretty sure Dr. Evil sees this as PORN.
phap phap phap phap you'll go blind sir!
I can personally attest to the fact that when a 914 goes airborne...it will land directly on the nose like it did in this jump - not 'flat' like other cars do in the movies...
So, did they survive the jump and subsequent crash with no seat belts on?
Great shots! I've never heard of this film. That parking garage is perfect for the 914 to lose a tail. In real life I don't think the Mercedes could've kept up.
And you can't lose a girl out the passenger door, I can attest to that one The lady holding the dash for dear life is pretty real though
In the last scene showing the girl before the jump, the passenger door is magically back on.
wonder if it's still available???

This was no movie stunt, results similar.

Whats going on? Maybe something about the old Stuttgart rivalry between Mercedes & Porsche?
That six shooter must be some sort of magic gun.
It reminds me of the 5 hubcaps flying off the Charger during the Bullitt chase scene.
I think that it is a failure of the Waco police department. Even in Texas, waving a gun out the window of a car will get someone to call 911 and get you pulled over. Much less standing in the sun roof and repeatedly firing it while driving. That will draw cops like draws flies.
The jump would have been fine if only he had a rear trunk spoiler.
He probably also relocated his battery to the front trunk to keep it from falling
into the hell hole.
John
I love it! Someone has to use that mid-air screen cap for a forum avatar. And the mounts breaking off the transmission on impact/landing is classic.

I'm old enough to remember a lot of TV from back in the day but I recently encountered an early 914 in an old British Sci Fi series called UFO. Not only was I surprised to see the little jewel in this show but it appeared throughout the entire episode. Best of all the girl who owned/drove it was very attractive so I have no doubt that most of us here will find this interesting. Episode was called "The Psychobombs" & I can say w/out spoiling anything that nothing bad happened to this very early British teener; @ least not on film anyway...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeLPeZ3U40M
Here's the car:
Lazy me didn't bother to look Andy, guess I should have known.
A 1.8 also appeared on a semi regular basis on The Rockford Files... Rockfords' lawyer "Beth" drove one & Rockford actually borrowed it in an episode. One would presume that was a California model & probably had a smog pump installed
Johny! You're back!
I posted a link to the entire show. Cool stuff.
http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=99653&st=40
Sorry guys, didn't mean to rehash this stuff. Lazy me should have looked 1st.
Hawaii 50 has several 914's in it. Season 7 episode #148; season 8 episode #179 & #187 (a 914 actually plays into the plot), season 9 episode #200
Johnny,
I remember watching that back then. Cool post, no need to apologize. I never tire of seeing 914's in movies from the past!
Thanks,
Tom
No guys, I'm still here & Knikki & Mnatasha are still in the garage . Posted here a few times but have not started a thread in a while. Still use 914world as my homepage every time I log on.
Was surfing you tube & found the entire UFO series posted & knew I had not seen every episode so I started watching & noticed 2 different 911s' in that series & then came across the 914 driven by that schweet British girl (actress Deborah Grant) in the psychobomb episode & had to bring it to everyones' attention. That episode was dated MCMLXX so I figured that had to be one of the earliest 914s' on record, & an English model @ that.
Attached image(s)
You guy's probably already know this but I found this link and remembered this being asked before. The stars denote it's use. Read the legend. Evidently, it was a regular on the "Rockford Files" starring the same guy that was in Grand Prix! Enjoy!

They forgot the movie "Chomps"....or at least I didn't see it....
I was channel surfing the other night and came across a white within the first minute of "Freeloaders" . It re appeared in the 8 minute mark. I wish I could forget the rest of the movie. A hour 20 I wish I had back
Saw one in an episode of A-Team. Season 1, but I forget the eppisode
IIRC, there is a yellow one in "Roxanne" (the one with Steve Martin, and the mermaid from Splash)
Damn, I was too slow. But a little better pic.

Cool!
Does one being on the set count?? Stunt riders from the movie E.T.
Steve Mcqueen's LeMans on the tube....at least two times in the last laps of the event....a 914, mostly white, maybe number 40 on the hood.....
Caught the movie at the hotel after getting Kermee tech'd at VIR for three days on the track this weekend with PCA Zone 2. Sweet...
I watched the film for the first time tonight as well. The 914 was in several shots, including one passing a 911 on a straight. Very cool.
^^^Neat.
The real GT class-winning /6 is shown in the actual race footage that is integrated into the film "LeMans". The scenes that are staged for the movie use a /6 that is made to look like the #40 car that not only won the GT class, but beat all the 911s that were entered as well
The accompanying photo shows the actual winning car during the race.

Am i late to the party? Watching Cheech and Chong's up in smoke and i was lovin all the old cars. And there it was....
FOX t.v. show GOTHAM last night. I think it was the 3rd episode. About 5 minutes in there's a red 914 with what looks like Centerlines on it, on the top floor of a parking deck of the opening scene. Couple different shots of it. Hard to miss as it is one of 2 cars parked there
Yep Seeing the still shot they definitely aren't Centerlines, but I'm not sure I've seen that wheel before. Look vaguely similar to the " Turbines " on my Jeep
Kind of counts:
Tanner Foust with the 914 first season of Top Gear USA.

Oh fuch, you guys beat me too it.
But I got better pics
Spotted on Hee Haw.
I know its been over a year since the last post but I've been watching re-runs of Adam 12 (Netflix) and I've seen a couple of 914s. I didn't catch the first episode where I noticed one but Season 6, Episode 23 L.A. International had this one ...
There is long-term thread about this subject. Search is your friend
Don't mind T.C., he's old and cranky.
I was just pointing out there is long thread about this
I may not know EVERYTHING, but Search does!
Confused at my Response. It's pretty simple, I've been on the Forum a long time & it's annoying when the same subject comes up time & time again when if you spent a little time to see if there is an existing Thread about the subject that you are so bound & determined to announce to the World as a personal discovery.

was watching a clip from the movie Straight OUTTA Compton. I swear the car at the curb when the guys are laying on the sidewalk was a 914.
Yup. just confirmed someone in that movie drives a 914
Yeah, it's been brought up a few times on this. I posted a screen shot and then someone told me they posted it back in April or something.
Movie is out I think. Is the car just in the parking lot scene or does it have a more significant part?
I'd like to go see this movie but I'm hesitating because of some random person in the theatre asking me what set I claim.
Is he asking about my TV set ?
Think I'll wait for the Blue Ray release
If I go see it, I will be carrying concealed... Just sayin' homie... word...
Seems like CC in theaters is a good idea these days, no matter what the signs say
Pretty sure IceT used to drive a 914. I think he was in an accident in it. I haven't seen the movie but I plan on seeing it.
Ice-T had a 914 back in the day too.
It's the car of DJ Yella >> Antoine Carraby
Getting off the tour bus scene, if you watch the background you can see him get in it.
The movie ain't bad. Brought back a bunch of memories from my high skool dayz.
Now that I think about it, I had a 914 the same time these guys did, does that make me gangsta too?
Agreed very entertaining movie well written since most of it was true!!! The 914 is definitely owned by one of the key characters I think I saw it in at least 5 scenes at one point someone actually opening the doors to get in.. Cool
Seen one on movie, menace to society, chase seen after stealing another car
I don't have a photo, but I saw Straight Outta Compton this weekend in theatre, and there was a black 914 among several other Porsches.

The straight outta compton appearance was discussed before the movie hit theaters. It appeared in the trailer I believe...
I didn't read this entire thread, but I wonder if anyone can associate their 914 with any of these movie/TV appearances?
Was a great movie. The 914 was driven by the band manager seen several times in the movie. BTW a school friend of mine worked on the movie and is the stunt man that kicks out a window and runs over the roof top as Easy E's double.

"Voyage of the Yes" a 914 appears at around 3:44 and then again at around 9:44

How far into the compton movie is the teener sighting?
Dave
Thanks for the reply.
I'll have to dig up the 6mil old episodes. ..I still like the old shows.
Dave
Compton car looks like my car with tits; have to see the movie I guess...
From 2003, "Intolerable Cruelty" with George Clooney and Katherine Zeta-Jones. 914 driving in the dark near the end. Might be in earlier scenes too but i started late. All you see is the dome interior light. Then it slides to a stop in the dark, EURO TAIL LIGHTS.
Don't have a screen shot but Netflix show Stranger Things has one shown in Episode 7 I believe.
Show based in 1983.
Oddly enough, the car is already in a junk yard rusty....
I just saw a clip from that movie this weekend and thought i saw a black 914... I guess i was right. I believe it had euro front turn signal lenses... I only saw it for a second.
There is a document drama on Netflix about the guys developing a space elevator. Can't recall the name. Main guy drives a yellow teener
Drivers door lock no workee. Several shots of him climbing in and out of the passenger side. Besides the teener, pretty interesting. They take development of the elevator very seriously
I was watching a documentary on people trying to build an "elevator" to space with carbon nano-tubes and one of the people they were following was driving around in his 914.
I guess if you can keep the FI going you can build an elevator to space haha

Anyone know how many movies the 914 has made an appearance in? Seems like I always look for them in old movies. "Up in Smoke" (1978) came on the other day and captured this picture with my cell phone.
There's numerous threads on this.search!!
Good chance I am the only person on 914World to see this movie, The Sidekick (2016)
I just noticed the time, I wonder if the car is shown at 09:14?
Just watched 9 to 5 ...at least here in tje LA area...numerous scenes with 914.s. Maybe the most in any major motion picture?

I took this pic a while back watching an old movie called chomps. Hard to tell, but that's valerie bertinelli. She drove the car all thru the movie.
'Roxanne', staring Steve Martin. Yellow, Rivs, side graphics. There were a number of 'classic' sports cars parked in one of the street scenes.
Money Talks with Chris Tucker, Charlie Sheen. Watched it last night. (I did not have control of the remote) yellow 914 screeches to a halt behind the two SUV's that block the bridge during the jail bus escape scene.
Given the current new cycle I figured it was a good time to re-watch All The President's Men and I had my eye out for period cars on the street. Sure enough, you can see what is probably a fairly new 914!

You can catch Beth Davenport, Rockford's lady attorney, driving hers in various episodes of The Rockford Files. .
Didn't go through the whole thread but did check the imdb.com link and didn't see this one: opening scene of "Silver Streak" has a 914 on the street. Very obvious.

Not sure if it was yellow like the one in the movie.
My favorite show is The Rockford Files. Love seeing the 914 in the various episodes. There's one episode where Rockford makes a criminal named Johnny lay down on the hood of the 914. I wonder if he dented it? I believe the episode was called Charlie Harris at Large

About 1/2 way thru the movie "Thief" with James Caan 1981

Someone spent some time on this! CHiPs scenes featuring the 914:

The interesting thing about James Garner and The Rockford Files is that he had a bad back and an old leg injury from his time in the Korean War. Not an easy feat getting into a 914 and a 78 Firebird. During the last three or four movies that they made in the 90s, they didn't have the Firebird anymore. Garner could no longer get into it.

Take a wild guess as to the TV program this one is from...
Can anyone recognize this movie? 914 lower right corner
Hot tub time machine.
This is from plutotv (free internet tv), chassy channel, winner’s circle is the program. In this episode, rod emery is raising money for charity foundation. They entered the 914 for the 24 hours or lemons. They did 300 laps in total and raises over $13,000. The drivers were amazed on how the stock 914 handles and how easy it was to race. Engine, transmission and brakes were all fine. Only issue they had was when the cv joints screw came off while racing and they ran out of gas on the final lap but still cruise to the finish line. I believe the track was in Oregon.
Just watched what I think is a new movie called Finding Steve McQueen.
About 44 mins into the flick the main character stashes his ski mask and jacks a shirt out of a teener to start a fight in a bar to distract the cops from the bank heist next door. "Inspired by true events"
Don't know how to do a screen grab and it was a Chinese pirate movie site. (don't want to expose the world to anything nefarious.)
Good eye! Here are a few screen capture. I had to rewind a couple of times
A film worth the ride - and the glimpse of the teener - Signal Orange?
I used to work in B-Hills, would see the location team setup for the two officers on their steeds fairly regularly. The bikes were on a trailer and they were towed by a weird truck with a camera rig and other equipment. Cannot watch the show without noticing that the bikes NEVER move relative to each other. CHIPS!
Around 1982 I found a garage-kept '72 914 in the beach cities of LA, the car was 10 year old. Original everything. It was really nice. I then had to leave town, had a good offer for a contract position in Chicago. Locked the car in the garage, hired my brother to look after the house. Did not give him a garage key.
A few month later came home from Chicago and the lock on the garage door was gone. Opened the door and the car was there, car cover on it just like I left it. After a day or two my brother came by - I had not told him that I was going to be in LA ( this is WAY before cell phones) and he was shocked to see me. He said: "I guess you saw the car" to which I replied sure, seems OK. And then he started to tell the story why the lock was removed.
OK, for those of you outside of LA, every group of guys in LA has at least one dude that is going into the movie business. One of my brothers friends was always talking about this and writing scripts and critiquing movies that were at the theater - you know the guy. Turns out that while I was away he got the money to shoot a short film about a girl, a car and stolen money. Budget so LOW that they collectively decided to use my car.
So they did all of the outside action shots from a Ranchero with a camera mounted on a tripod but when it was time to do the inside shots (girl driving car, etc.) they mounted a big-ass Panaflex all over the car for different shots. One shot the passenger's side, another shot from the Targa Rail looking forward and then backward. Last was from the front windscreen for the "you are driving the car" shot.
The script called for a panic stop right up to the bad-guy. So my brother did the stunt driving ( he knew the car well and had a few 2002BMWs) and he drives like hell, slams on the brake hits the mark (Hollywood for perfect stop) and the camera comes loose and tumbles down the front of the car. Dents and gouges all the way down.
So, he tells this story and then says that miraculously the film canister kept closed and all of the film was preserved and looked great! So I am waiting for the part where they tell me about fixing the car………..still waiting!
The movie was called Gone Riding, it is long lost according to the assistant producer - my brother.
The Car - before the event - note the Ranchero in the background.
Duct-tape will not hold one of these to a car - just say'n
Just saw a 914 in "A Futile and Stupid Gesture" on Netflix but now see it was already posted a couple pages back.

Not sure if this one's been mentioned before, but I was watching the original Carrie (1976 Sissy Spacek version), and spotted a blue 914 parked on the street just as the kids are going to the prom to meet their fate.
Maybe it's already listed, The Fury, from 1978.
Just after the 40 minute mark. It appears twice. The first view is just a glimpse of the top.
A moment later you get to see the whole car.
It doesn't have vinyl covered or painted Sail panels.
Rear bumper is painted.
Saw these last night on chasing classic cars. He was in Monterey.
Anyone’s car here ?
Not a movie shot, but a clip form the HoustonChronicle from when Hurricane Alicia struck the Houston/Galveston area in 1983...
Seen this last night on tv show called “vintage voltage”
They did a electric conversion on a ghia. 914 in the back !
I was watching an old Adam-12. Made in 1974. Saw a 914 in two shots.
No visible rust.
From last year - 2 days of filming and this is all I could find. That's Bella Haddid sitting in my car. And no, you can't smell the seats.

Nearly the end of the latest Natalie Wood documentary on HBO - "What Remains Behind" - prominently displays a red 914 pulling out of MGM (now Sony) Studios back in the day....
I was watching an episode of The Rockford Files and I spotted two 914 driving down the highway together. Most people are aware of Beth Davenport's 914 but this was a new find for me. The episode is called Farewell to Aura Lee.
I watched 1979's "Thank God It's Friday" the other night (sorry, it was on my list), and lo and behold, there is a nice shot of a 914 about 12 minutes into it! Looks to be Zambezi green. I didn't realize so many people were in the movie: Jeff Goldblum, Terri Nunn (of the group Berlin!), Lionel Richie (still in the Commodores), and the late, great Donna Summer! The movie wasn't good by any stretch, but I spotted some cool cars in there. That's Jeff Goldblum running right in front of it.
I was watching a show on Prime called "Red Oaks"...pretty good show so far, set in the 80s. Anyway, there is a scene in the third episode at a wedding, a 928 rolls up, then you see a red 914 in the background. Two spottings in one week...maybe I should buy a lottery ticket! Or maybe I watch too much TV!
I was watching Black Cat, a 1991 Hong Kong remake of La Femme Nikita, and saw a 914!
My wife and I were really excited until they shot it to hell and blew it up 10 seconds later.
It's interesting. One of the close up shots shows a gas tank door by the wheel, and in the exlposion, the Fuchs wheels magically turn into steel wheels painted to look like Fuchs. The front bumper changes as well! Hahaha

The interview with the owner starts telling his story & its a EV conversion!
He's in Hawaii & just so happens he popped up here.
@http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showuser=20860 Can you say hello & tell your story?
I watched another terrible movie from 1978 called "Record City," with Ed Begley Jr, Ruth Buzzi, Ted Lange and a few others. In the opening scenes, there is a nice shot of a 914, looked like Sepia Brown? There were glimpses of it in a couple more shots as well.
Probably already posted I was watching "Le Mans" with Steve McQueen a white 914 #40 was circulating in the background. I was down at PMB and they have a poster from the 1970 24 hours of Le Mans on their wall in french. The same white # 40 is on it.
I know it's posted in this thread someplace but on the Roku channel they are running the british series UFO. There is a cool scene with a blonde in a mini skirt driving a 914. Very cool sets. Pre Austin Powers vintage clothing and set design.
GM (chevrolet) documentary/movie from early 70s - warning of evils of foreign car domination and urging yanks to work harder.
914s/toyota pickups co-star as invasive weeds.
"the beetle and the bug".

(green 14 on top deck of rail carriage appears to be a down force device).
Couldn't sleep last night (2:20 am) and I put on pluto TV - Chassy channel for some white noise. It was showing Porsche Road Trip - Vegas episode.
And guess who i saw in TV with his 914--- @http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showuser=3348 . A taco run in LA and a drive in LV.
Very cool! They even showed a snippet of the 914 rally. Newcomb ranch I think.
I was half as sleep so I couldn't do a screen shot.
Not sure when they will show it again but i will be in the lookout for it.
Here are some screen shots
Watching ‘Acapulco’ on Apple TV. Episode 9 ‘Time After Time’ had a 914 (possibly a six as it had 5 lug Fuchs) in the valet area of the hotel.
Discovery Channel: Fixer to Fabulous S3E6 Rough Rancher Made Modern first appearance at 17:51

Really cool (but short duration) 914 sounds on this YouTube video. I'm into all sorts of music, and folk / cultural instruments...and found this Yidaki / Didgeridoo episode. They say these hollowed out tree branches are one of the oldest musical instruments (human voice powered) in existence. Even more cool how Termites play a big role in the design
Can't figure out the YouTube link tho...just search the title <
Too lazy to search the thread, but in case it was not listed, I watched Steve Martin and Daryl Hannah in Roxanne.

Recently we watched The Gumball Rally. There are 3 appearances of 914s in it.
Two are near the beginning with the Cops in LA.
First one is a yellow one through the windshield.
Second one they are passing on the freeway.
Third one is when the guy in the Rolls stops to pick up his girlfriend.
9 to 5 has two in it.
Ted Bundy: Lost Case Files.
People being questioned if they've seen the suspect in the photo.
Had a weird situation last night. For some reason I watched two 1978 movies in a row. The first was ‘Thank God It’s Friday’, a disco themed movie with Donna Summers. There is a 914 leaving the front of the club in one of the scenes. A little off topic but one of the main characters, played by Jeff Goldblum, drives a 911. But as soon as that movie was over I started watching ‘Corvette Summer’ with Mark Hamill. At one point he is running after his stolen Corvette in Las Vegas. A 914 enters the scene from the left pulling through the parking lot (?) he is running through. It’s the only vehicle in the scene.
White 914 starting at 1 min and several appearances throughout the episode. Motor Trend TV - Roadworthy Rescues Season 1, Episode 7
Mentioned before and not a movie, but Ric Ocasek with 914 in The Cars video Shake It Up
the Killer Elite - James Caan drives an Aubergine 911 and Bo Hopkins has a Silver Teener
My wife just seen this (I trained her well) while watching
“Autopsy of John belushi “ on reelz tv .
I can’t believe nobody has seen this teener sighting since it first aired in 83. Does anybody remember a popular sitcom called Alice? Season 7 episode 14 where Mel (the obnoxious shortorder cook) buys the Porsche of his dreams for $20. You can find it on Amazon prime videos to buy $1.99. That’s what I call a cheap laugh
Not sure it this one's been posted before??? - I saw it on a rerun of the Rockford Files a couple days ago ...
Apparently the founder of National Lampoon, Doug Kinney, owned a yellow 914.
California State Police Counter Terrorism Training Film
One of my favorite shows, UFO, where somehow the aliens figure out how to cram 3 adults into the 914.
Three from San Diego to Los Angeles.
They show five hours of Hawaii Five O on Fridays in Los Angeles.....plenty of 914's in lots of episodes....watching "Double Exposure" episode and a red '73 is getting lots of air time....really fun to see one of our babies in perfect "new" condition acting like a "normal" car.
gg
You are the man!
The Fury. 1979, Staring Kirk Douglas, phycho thriller
