What gage sheet metal do i need for patching holes in the battery area and outer fire wall? Thanks

16g should do it. you could always go with 3/8 and make it bullet-proof ar15.gif

16ga?...for an M1 Abrahms rebuild perhaps
20ga for inner wheel house
16 is OK for the longitudinal

I used 16 on the inner wheelhouse and long. I'm using 16 on the lower firewall too. Upper firewall, I'm using 18g.

20g on the wheelhouse? I thought the piece I cut out was more like 17g, same for the lower firewall. I know you've welded more of these things than me though.

Don't use galvanized.

German steel was 19 gauge...take your pick of 18 or 20.
