914World.com _ FS/WANTED: 914 Cars and Rollers _ SOLD - The Steel-Top - SOLD

Posted by: carr914 Jun 8 2012, 08:37 AM

SOLD
Many of you know the car, Dan Root has owned it 3 Times & I have owned it twice ( I said I would not sell it this time) But I got the shock that the Company that I have been Regional Manager for is re-organizing & I was let go. I don't want to have to go into panic mode later, so I'll put it For Sale now and hope that things change soon & I can keep it.

When I got it back last year, I pulled the motor & Sold it to Vysoc. Now I have a Fresh 2.5 with Webers & Port Matched PMO Intakes. ( I may have a Buyer for the Motor only, & if it sells I will lower the price on the ST accordingly) MOTOR SOLD

Also have a Dr Evil rebuilt box with Billit Intermediate Plate with Zero Miles

I have a RennShifter with all the Linkage (Linkage No Longer Available from JWest)

^^ all these things are new since I got the car back last year

The Needs: The Paint has been tired for some time especially the Top - all the Stickers on the Car are Vinyl & easy removed
It has Stock Seats which are Just OK
Needs SeatBelts
Aftermarket Stereo HeadUnit no longer Works

Car will come with Real Fuchs & extra Parts to make a New Owner Happy

SOLD

Where is your clutch pedal?

Posted by: JmuRiz Jun 8 2012, 11:25 AM

Bummer about the work situation, hopefully it finds a good home.

I've always said smart money would have been for me to buy something like this than do my conversion over the years.

A sad day.........again. Selling cars because you lose your jobs just sucks. I've been there too.

Posted by: Cairo94507 Jun 8 2012, 04:43 PM

T.C. - Sorry to hear about the job; I hope you land on your feet quickly and are able to keep the ST. Best wishes.

Posted by: carr914 Jun 8 2012, 04:48 PM

I hope I can keep it too. But I need to be prepared (Boy Scout Motto).

Unfortunately, I was Blindsided, otherwise I wouldn't have bought the 911 & a Ford F150 SuperCrew in the last few weeks.

I've had some good interest in the ST - it really is a Special Car

Sorry to hear about the job thing. I was "RIF'd" this past december, found another job in feb, and 3 wks ago was let go after 91 days on the job. Hang in there. Nothing wrong with testing the waters, employment and car related. I've got few leads, all for something better than I had. Hopefully you will bounce back as well.

This is a unique build that someone here will be proud to own. It has respected history (aside from TC's vinyl additions - fortunately they peel off (teasing you old man[respect sir - just teasing])

This is one-of-a-kind 914. Amazing buy for someone who wants an uber-special 914.wub.gif

Noooooo! T.C., I love this car! Maybe more than the GT. This news must have come out just after I saw you a couple Fridays ago. I wish I was at a place in my life where I could help you out. I can, however, bring beers by on Friday!

Things will get better bud. Hopefully soon cause I wanted to ride in that thing (or drive, whichever you prefer).

Boy, I wish I could do something, but with the time I'm about to take off for health issues, just cant sad.gif

Take Good care of it Jim, it's a Special car.

Posted by: stuttgart46 Jul 13 2012, 06:42 AM

It's sharing some good company there. I don't think you need to worry too much about the one above it leaking oil on it during the trip.
