Very interesting. Appears to be a "Paint to Sample" Chocolate Brown (or similar) color.

Combine that with the Fuchs (especially if it has a 911 suspension) and solid body this could be a very good deal.

So, I just joined 914world because ... I bought this car. I will not start playing with it until I finish some other projects, at least that is what my wife says. Judging by the info on this site, there is a lot knowledgeable people here. I am looking forward to resurrecting this one!Attached Image

So tell us, did a CL ad in Maine for a car in Sacramento really lead to a Mainer (your sig) grabbing the car and bringing it back east ?!

Apologies for the repeats, I'd delete if I could figure it out!

The PO moved to Maine a few years ago from CA. When he moved east, he put the car in storage in CA. This past Dec he drove back to get the remainder of his stored stuff and the car. I gave him some extra $ to help with fuel cost/delivery. As it turned out, he lives 40 minutes north on me. I bought the car primarily due to its impressive lack of rust. I live on the coast of Maine = rust, rust, rust. The car is currently stuffed in the garage as I am very close to finishing up the resto of a 1977 911.

So, now about the color of this ride. Not sure I like the dog sh*t brown paint. Suggestions on color change to what or repaint original?

Also, the PO removed the FI system and was running a single Webber which he was having trouble tuning and making the engine run properly. I converted my 911 engine to PMOs, put E cams in it, and had the distributor recurved. Should this thought process also be applied to the 2.0 now that it is running a carb instead of the FI system?

Always glad to see another Maine teener. As to the "thought process", it probably should have already been applied but quite possibly not!. A proper carb conversion entails a new bump stick so designed. Maybe that is why the current running problems? Sounds like you have the experience to match everything up.

I just received the COA on this car, and it is a "Paint to Sample - 9990" Is there any way to find out what color it is?

Thanks for any guidance.
