Not sure about the OO story, as it just says originally bought in Santa Monica - not that the seller did.
More so, those are late 70's Blue/Yellow CA plates - not the Black/Yellow for 1969 nor the early 6 digit/letter Blue/Yellow plates from the start of that plate series for early 1970 - whichever applied to this car's 1st sale date.
So anyone looking to buy must ask why it was re-registered in late 1970's with these later plates?
PS - It could be a salvage title, since CA usually requires a totaled car to be re-registered with new plates/title if kept by owner or sold off to rebuild - so also check for evidence of prior accident repairs, & if the unibody is bent by following on street to see if it tracks straight or crabs sideways.

Actually the plates would be BLUE/YELLOW for that time period, ...BUT... these are 2019 plates (i.e. (7) characters) Hence they look cool...but ...
