914World.com _ FS/WANTED: 914 Cars and Rollers _ 1974 1.8, 3.4L 911 engine, 914-6 Werkshop complete kit, pics inside

Well, I collected all these parts and now that I have them all in my garage, our remodel is consuming my 914-6 project.

I bought this car from Mark here on the forum. He is a great guy and represented the car far better than I can so here is the link to it when I bought it last year.

http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=331539&hl=1.8+flares

From there I found a 3.2L twin plug engine that had been completely rebuilt with 3.6L crank, points conversion for MSD ignition, cam, blah blah blah and decided that was the engine for me. I bought it and also traded the FI throttle bodies for a set of 40mm Webber carbs. I realize if someone plans to race it a larger carb may get the absolute peak HP a bit higher but I was planning on building a spirited driver so the 40's should work great.

I called Ben at 914 Werkshop and bought his complete stainless kit. Engine tin, oil tank, lines, headers with heat exchangers and muffler etc. I had the engine tin powder coated satin black (factory finish I was told). It is all sitting there ready to go in.

I purchased steel flares and sent the car to a shop near LA that does custom fabrication. I used that shop because the welder there is the guy that welds for Lincoln at SEMA and all the big shows. He is a tig welding magician. He installed the flares and added a door brace bar in the area that could potentially flex with the added HP. Mark did an excellent job making the car as stiff as any 914 I have ever seen but this was added insurance that does not affect ingress/egress.

The car needs paint, but I was waiting until everything else was done. Here is an album of pics. A few of the pics show the FI throttle bodies but now it has carbs as shown in a few of the last pics. I have carb linkage on the way as well as a few small parts needed for the swap.

I have well more into it but the first 25K takes the whole package. Bring a trailer and a truck, you will need it.

I have had lots of interest in the parts but not the package as a whole. Here is how I am willing to split it up.

Running driving 914 without 3.4 motor/parts. $11,000

Motor with carbs $14,500

Conversion parts $3800 ( only if the motor sells )

Motor and conversion parts 17,500, whole package 25k.

Whom rebuilt the 3.4 motor? I'm curious.

Actually I looked at the photo you provided in the link. Looks to be built by Dan Brosman.
