My apologies for the few edits, had to get the hang of posting all the photos I have.
$5700
The Good:
1973 Porsche 914 2.0
Appearance package
Original Fuel Injected GA serial number engine (numbers matching to car)
Black vinyl sail panel.
5 original Fuchs 2.0 alloys.
Chrome bumpers with fog lights.
130psi on all cylinders, by my MAC compression gauge.
28psi fuel... fuel pressure gauge in fuel delivery line.
Valves adjusted properly.
Proper green 2.0 injectors with good fuel delivery and spray pattern.
New vacuum lines.
Fuel pump moved under fuel tank.
All electrical works.
Interior in good shape, but is somewhat removed from car. Original seats/carpet, no tears.
3 gauge center console.
5 speed transmission that shifts smoothly in all gears.
Rear Sway bar, passenger drop link needs new bushing/replacement.
New front Targa/A pillar seal to install
Both trunks are solid... no rust.
It has been garage stored and not left in the elements.
Fairly straight body for a 46 year old unmolested car.
All original.
33K miles.
The bad:
Yellow repaint that is faded and not the original yellow.
Typical 914 rust on passenger side battery tray/jack point. No door sag, it closes easily. There is new battery tray and battery tray support that has not been installed.
Rust/bondo on drivers door channel.
Minor rust in driver side floor panel underneath pedal assembly.
No engine bay fuse/relay cover.
Spotty rust in passenger side front trunk seal channel.
Rust bubble on passenger front fender by body seal/seam... less than the size of a penny.
2" dent on passenger fender from dropping something on it.
No muffler... well, there is, but it has been removed as the muffler is blown out. I still have it.
Yes, it leaks a small amount of oil. Not certain if it is oil cooler or rear main seal.
TTS2 spade broken.
Rear bumper rubber cap rough.
No rocker panels.
Passenger tail light broken on end.
Small chip in windshield.
Dash has cracks.
Better condition than most for a non restored 46 year old car.
The door panels/carpet/center console are removed... but I have them.
The car purred like a kitten before I took these out thinking of doing a full restoration... life got in the way. So I did a valve adjustment and full tune up, and got something wrong, as it never would stay running after that... Again, it does start, just dies immediately.
If you are looking for a 914, you could probably come with some tools/test equipment and drive it away.
I am done with tinkering with it for now due to other projects that are more of a priority.
This is a 1973 Porsche 914 2.0 Appearance package that is original and unmolested... other than a bad respray and 46 years.
I am not in dire need to sell it and it can continue to stay in my garage until I get the urge to get it on the road again. It is presently registered and insured.
Given this, the $5700 price is FIRM!
Clean and Clear FLORIDA Title in my name.
While I am certain there will be some to critique my listing, please feel free to point out whatever I may have missed. I am not trying to hide anything.
I have been as honest about the car as I can be. I would like to see this go to someone who appreciates these cars... not someone who wants to buy it and flip it on eBay.
Thanks for looking!
All of the photos beyond this post are what the car looked like prior to removal of the interior when I decided I wanted to do a full restoration...all of the photos prior these are the current state of the car.

So which pictures are the current ones? The first ones you posted match the issues in the ad. The second set look like a driver ready car.
If I added an additional 2.0 short block (GA code completely disassembled) with some 2.0 stainless steel heat exchangers, $6500 for everything, would that get this out of my garage?
Is it the rust that is scaring everyone from buying this?
Is it having to put back together what I have disassembled?
Somebody help me understand?
I am willing to answer any questions.
Simply do not have time with the kid's activities and all the other projects...and the real inconvenience of a job, I have.
I thought this year and model was "The One" that everyone wants... or is it everyone is just as broke as I am and has the dream of making it a concourse winner one day, but not the $$$?
I never envisioned concourse, just wanted to have a piece of the past that would bring a smile, to me and those who saw it, as it rolled down the road.
Thank You kindly for your .02.
Great insight and no offense taken.
I guess I will hang on for however long the post stays, and if someone purchases it, they will know what they are getting into.
If not, I will be as everyone else and get around to it sooner or later (most likely later), or repost again when a divorce is nearing.
Thanks again!
The right price cures everything.
Good luck with the sale.
Not sure where you are in SWFL, but I know a shop in Ft Myers that is competent and very reasonable and could probably get this car running. That would help big time
Given your seasoned knowledge, what would you believe to be the right price were this your car, and you were selling it?
I am asking for its value as it sits and is presented in the ad.
Thanks!
Currently it’s a parts car due to the large amount of rust. Yes it can be restored but it’s $30K + in metalwork, bodywork, paint, mechanicals and assembly at a shop. I would say about $2-2,500 as it sits.
I just parted out a 914 over the weekend that was in similar shape to yours. Most people who saw it couldn’t believe I was parting it out because it looked fine from 10 feet away. When I pulled the seatbelts from the longs (by hand) and could see the ground from inside the car, it explained a lot. We had to be careful jacking up the car because I didn’t want it to fold up with one of us underneath it. There’s a 99% chance that the entire bottom of your car is toast. Suspension consoles, floor pan, lower engine bulkhead, pedal box, rear trunk and the longs are completely shot. Many of these parts actually rust from the inside out, so by the time you see rust on the lower door sill, everything beneath it is gone.
This is your ad so if you want me to delete what I wrote, no problem. It’s just my opinion.

Thank You for your input.
No need to delete, I want someone who is green when it comes to a 914 to be knowledgeable before they consider buying.
Honesty, a lost trait.
I have reviewed the car and posted what I observed is needed throughout the car. I do not believe it to be as severe as your reference.
Based upon what it has, I just might have to part it out at some point and make more towards the asking price.
Otherwise, it can sit in the dry SFLA climate controlled garage until I have to turn in my license because I am to old to drive it.
