Howdy 914World,

In addition to my Mexico Blue 914 build over in the Garage, I’ve also been searching for the right car for a buddy who wanted to do a 914-6 clone conversion. We bought this car together a few months back with the intention of doing a full, rotisserie restoration and /6 conversion. However, it’s simply too nice of a starting point for what we want to accomplish.

The car is an excellent driver-quality 914 and is ready to be enjoyed. There are some cosmetic dings and knicks but there is no structural rust in the longs or hell hole. This has been a California car for most if not all of its life and it really shows.

The car is a 1973 2.0L finished in L13M Saturn (Chrome) Yellow. This is the original color to the car but It has been repainted once and is what I’d call a “5 footer” paint job. It has great depth and gloss but there are some imperfections.

The chassis has 117k total miles but the engine was rebuilt around 16-17k miles ago as a 2.0L with dual IDF 44 carbs. There are over 25 years’ worth of receipts and maintenance records included. This car is a runner pulls strong through all gears. She’s a total blast to drive and catches attention everywhere we take her.

The car is configured as “Euro Spec” with amber Hella taillight lenses, no side markers and split turn signals. The original bumpers have been replaced with color-matched, fiberglass clones.

The interior is finished in black leatherette with red seat inserts. The dashboard has been recently refinished with the correct, factory German basketweave vinyl. All instrument gauges are fully functioning except for the cylinder head temperature gauge.

Recent maintenance includes four new tires, new brake discs and pads and brake fluid flush. Despite this work, the brakes are still a bit soft. I am including stainless steel lines for the new owner to swap. It’s possible that the calipers need a rebuild to bring back full stopping power as they appear to be original.

Because the car is pre-1975, no smog is required. The title is clean and the registration is current. Please contact with any questions or to schedule a time to view the car

Offered for sale at $15,000 or best reasonable offer.

Located in West Los Angeles. Call or text Cole at 310-853-1540.
