A friend of mine is helping a widow sell her husband's race car. I told him I would pass this information on to 914world. Here is the description he sent me in an email:

As you can see from the description, it was set up for the track but he rarely took it out.

She would like to get 60k for it. They are located in Hacienda Heights, California
I'm told there are 30 crates of parts that go along with the car. I suggested to Patrick to get a COA for this car to help it sell. Not sure if the VIN number will tell if it's a authentic 6 chassis.
"Not sure if the VIN number will tell if it's a authentic 6 chassis."
It will. If the vin starts with 914, it's a six chassis.

I looked at this car a couple years ago and I just couldn't come up with the funds. It is a factory 6 starting with 9141xxxx as I recall and there were tons of parts included. A great deal for someone imo!

Patrick has decided not to show the car until he can locate the VIN and get it running.
I did visit the car today. It is a factory 6 and the VIN stamped in the fender and on the data plate are present. As stated above me, it is missing the Visible VIN plate. The car did fire, but would not idle. It is a nice platform and although would take some work to make streetable, it is a good car overall.
If they find the VIN plate, I could remain interested.
There is no windshield VIN on european cars
Are you sure L90E and not L 80 E?
I read L 90E as a 1980 color for porsche.
The paint over the little square plate is thick... with my cell phone light in the garage, that is what I saw. 9 could be 8 I guess. It could be L80 E as under the cowl it would more or less match Light Ivory versus Alpine White. It is still a more factory color under there where the roll bar passes through the vent ducting.
Patrick just let me know that they sold the car today. Thanks for all the information.
