Seeing it's from BHCC, probably a conversion. I thought all 1972's had the "VW" ignition column?

If it's a true 72' six, could be worth bucks.

wait, wasnt this car supposed to be a 73 yesterday?

still no VIN posted

No side dash vents and fixed passenger seat would seem to imply its earlier than 72, but whos knows, could be a complete cobbled together mess. not sure why they dont just post the vin already

Looks to be a conversion car.

discussing the car in question. Some paperwork indicates a 71 but either way, woof!

Looks to be a conversion car.

If so they went to a lot of trouble to not only put an original 6 motor mount on it but to make it look like it had been there for 50+ years. I love that the muffler hanger is half rusted away as well.

Yes, all '72 914-6 cars had the VW ignition column switch. beerchug.gif

If those wheels are real they are worth some $$$.

I swapped e-mail with BHCC about this one. It is a '71.

Stickers in the left corner of the under side of the lid look like 6 stickers.

I would bet it's real, but much too expensive for me

Posted by: Cairo94507 Apr 27 2022, 10:37 AM

That's $100K worth of work.....

Rough. Get a second on the dwelling to finish this one.

I've wanted a real 1972 914-6 for quite a while. It's a rare 914 and almost impossible to find. This one was confirmed to be a 1971.

Wow what a project

I would go there with cash and haggle that price down and take it home. Too many irons in the fire right now.

BHCC sells some scary stuff

Here's a blast from the past. This car was destroyed. Owner was nearly killed. Trees don't give much. Cut the roof off to get him out. Engine was knocked completely out of the back of the car.

BHCC put it "back together" to sell.

This '71 914-6 is 42 cars older than mine; I am number 0372, this is 0330. I am sure we will be seeing this car again. beerchug.gif popcorn[1].gif
