Posted by: grasshopper May 22 2006, 05:08 PM

which ones have the less shiney finish??

Posted by: spunone May 22 2006, 05:09 PM

The Clear anodized

Posted by: spunone May 23 2006, 08:19 AM

Ok here's the deal the shinney rings are raw alum with a scotch brite finnish you'll need to clean and clear coat or they'll dull on you like any unfinnished alum. The Clear anodized rings have a softer look to them and have a dull finnish.you can clear coat these also for a little more shine or leave them the way they are. Hope this clears things up .Thanks Again

Ok my rant and rave. I just got a set of the gauge rings. Man let me tell you they are perfect in every way. Just the ticket to brighten up your gauge cluster. I cannot believe what a huge difference these three rings make. My solemn promise, if you purchase a set you will not be sorry, but if you don’t and they become unavailable you will regret deeply not purchasing a set. Especially when your friend turns up with a set. headbang.gif headbang.gif Thanks again Paul for the great product.

Man!! These rings look awsome and or beyond perfect craftsmanship needing to be labeled as works of art or 914 jewelry!! If you have guages that need a modernising face lift or are like my dinged pealing and rusting eye sores, these babies are your best bet hands down!

beer.gif If I get another 914, it will get a set also. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Posted by: tango-52 Mar 24 2008, 01:27 PM

What size are the smaller rings? I'm installing a couple of VDO gauges in the A-pillar (CHT & EGT, 2 1/16") and would like to match them to my dash gauge rings. The dash gauges look great, BTW.

Posted by: auerbach Mar 24 2008, 09:04 PM

Paul-- send me a PM as to what I owe you and where to send it. The main gauges are stock 76 and the 3 console are VDO. Thanks.

Posted by: spunone Mar 25 2008, 07:23 AM

Lee unless your dash gauges have a silver dot in the middle the rings won't fit. Sorry

Posted by: auerbach Mar 25 2008, 10:55 AM

The car is currently at Tangerine -- when I get it back I'll drop you a note. Thanks

Posted by: mack914-6 Jun 9 2008, 07:09 AM

Hi Paul,
I now want a large and small set in the anodized. Send me a total with shipping to 43617. Do you take PayPal? PMd you a couple of days ago about a large set. Putting my console back in the car so I need all the gauges to match.

Thanks,
Mack rolleyes.gif

Just a note that the guage rings arrived today - that was fast shipping - and they look amazing. I will install this weekend.

Thanks again for the great work!

Mike

PS. Anything else up your sleeve - I will probably buy whatever you make!

Paul, you stated in your pm to me that they were for 70-73 with glass bezels and silver button. But Iamchappy's picture shows later gauges. So maybe they fit all years. confused24.gif . When I get my Rings I will check the fit on a bunch of gauges for you - early, late & 911.

T.C.

Posted by: auerbach Nov 13 2008, 08:22 PM

Paul, 1st of all, Great Service and Great Product smilie_pokal.gif . Your check will go out with mail this afternoon, Thank You.

2nd, I tried them on early gauges, late gauges and 911 gauges. While they fit better on the early gauges, I would not hesitate for a second to put them any of the others.

I won a set of these as a door prize at MUSR 9 and didn't really think I would want them so I donated them to Mary for the Buttercup build. After seeing them on Buttercup I now realize I will have to purchase 2 complete sets along with the small ones for center console as well. I would get three sets but figure I need to keep th LE looking original. These are awesome looking and I will be contacting you soon.
