914World.com _ Member Vendors _ Group Buy: Performance Rear Suspension Bushings

Posted by: Eric_Shea May 21 2007, 03:30 PM

Hi Gang,

If I can get 25 people interested in the performance rear suspension bushings the price will be $19.95 for a complete set of 4.

These are the good ones. They are made of a harder delrin style polymer than the average replacement bushings and they're less than 1/2 the price with this buy.

These will need to be honed to fit your specific control arm rods. We've found the rods and control arms to vary wildely. This is a good thing. Each one will fit like a glove.

Zerks are recommended for this.

Let me know if you're interested. This is by far the most cost effective way to get excellent bushings on the rear of your teener.

Bad News - Bushings came in today (right on schedule). They are the standard (softer) .90 compound... sad.gif

Good News - We're ordering now 200 of the .75 (harder) compound. This should cover all the requests. wink.gif

Bad News - It will be another 6 weeks for the custom order in the proper harder compound. sad.gif whistle[1].gif yawn.gif

Posted by: Grimstead Aug 22 2007, 11:24 PM

Hey Eric,
Will you let us know when you want the cash for these?

I'm in no rush but want to make sure you have our cash when it comes time to pay the piper.

Thanks again buddy,

Any update on these yet?

Just curious, and I may want more than one set.

Posted by: Eric_Shea Dec 14 2007, 10:57 AM

BELIEVE IT OR NOT...

These are on the way. They are shipping from the manufacturer today.

Very sorry to all for the delay, my middle man on this totally dropped the ball. The original manufacturer is a bit quirky to deal with as well so I was reticent about posting this until today; the day I actually got word that they are shipping.

I'll be sending individual PM's to those who expressed interest. If you want to bail or if you found another alternative, I TOTALLY understand. No worries.

I'll also post a how to article on what I've found to be the best way to install these with zerks.

Many thanks for your patience...

Onward.

I'll take a set if you have any extra.
