914World.com _ Member Vendors _ Repairing Cracked Dash without using a plastic cap

Posted by: NolAloha Apr 20 2008, 02:49 AM

From the postings, I can see how to repair the damaged vinyl part of the dash but I have not seen anyone that tells me how to repair the dash, once I have removed it.

Is it just so easy that no one thinks it needs to be posted or so difficult no one does it?
Both of mine are shot.

PPG makes a product for doing this type of repair. I've played around with it but determined it takes a higher level of skill an experience than I have to make it look perfect.

Craig at camp 914 does offer this service, it's not inexpensive, but the result is what you want. Not sure if it's an exchange system or just refurb yours. Worth a check.
