Trying to gage need for these part #91453118510. These go on the roof and block water from comming in over the window. The part number is only for one side, but it would be both left and right.
I can do these without the plugs at about 22 a set, or plug at $17 each. If I have enough people that need these I'll make them.
Thanks,
Mark
I would take a set
If these are the ones mounted to the sides of the Top and the top of the window butts up to them, then I need these badly.
I need a set also..
I need a set also please.
Mark,
I have been looking for those exact peices. I'm in for a set, PM me or let me know they are ready for shipping. I think I bought a set of window/sail seals( The rubber running vertcal on the targa bar I cut to fit) from you, they worked great.
Tony
These will be in late next week (first article) ready to ship following week. But, I will have a big surprise on Saturday I'll be posting.
I've been waiting for these for a long time!
big surprise...?!?
Question?
when you roll up the window on the new seal. Where does the rubber go...
outide the rubber , inside the rubber, or is there a channel that the window is supposed to go up into?
reason for my question is that I got a set years back and half of it is inside and half of it is outide. this can also change depending on if the top was on befor the door was closed.
These will have a lip on the outdie edge and the window will roll up into the seal, same profile as OEM.
I like the idea of being able to roll up the window into the seal, but what about when the window is all the way up and the door gets opened or shut?
I'll post you some pictures when I get them in next week.
These are the same profile as factory. I didn't see the need to get too exotic here. The originals worked, so why not use the same basic shape.
I need these.
I'd like a set
I would like a set when ready
Here's pictures of the fitted pieces. you can see from the first picture how the seal allows the glass across the first lip and that's the first barrier, it also touches the back of the glass.
the original seals had a hole drilled into the extrusion for a screw that kept the extrusion from sliding around. This is a tight fit and I do not believe that it will be necessary. The parts is shown with a hand cut piece of rubber that's glued onto the extrusion. I'm actually having the ends water jet cut for a more presise fit and more finished look these will be done next week. I'm planning to start shipping these after the Thanksgiving weekend. I'll be contacting all this weekend to confirm orders.
I hope this answers some of the questions on how the seal will work. Unfortunately these will install like OEM, the outside is fitted into the track and the inside is pushed in 1/4" at a time. I used a butter knife, but if anyone has any better ideas of how the OEM seals would install easier I'm sure it would work on these also.
Thanks All.
