Hey wizards ....need some help
Getting ready to make some changes and want to be sure I got this right
914/01 ----7501322 gearbox numbers
seems that may be original box (albiet converted to ss)
Had one built to replace but went oops
Thanks
Terry
maybe it's just my not-so-good english, but is this just a statement or a question ...?
btw - 7501322 might be the matching tranny to 9140431306
Well you are correct on both counts ..Not very well constructed question so it did not look like a question but was intended to be. Sorry for the confusion and sloppy grammar.
So now tell me how you came up with vin # based on the transmission number.
Thanks again
Terry
well, that's easy:
914043xxxx = modely year 1970
750yyyy = modely year 1970
both, VIN and tranny# are not influenced by the country of delivery (as the engine number is!)
so, if the running numbers xxxx and yyyy are so close like yours (1306 - 1322), it's very likely that they're originally matching
but of course, that's no proof
Gustl
Thanks again.
