I have often wondered if Andy would consider adding some type of Engine registry, similar to our VIN database. Would it be helpful for those seeking their original cases? I wouldn't even know how to check if my case is the original that came with the car - would Porsche NA be able to tell us that? Good luck with the search Walter!

Hi Walter,
I saw your post about this engine number. I have a database of 914/6 advertisements and have recently started tracking 914/6 engines when they show up on ebay and similar web sites. I have nothing on your engine. I also searched my database looking for your engine in another chassis but also came up blank. I have information on more than 1200 individual chassis numbers covering advertisements back to 1971.

Its going to be difficult to find your engine.
