The Hilton Head concours is a lovely laid back event and there are always many Porsches there. Can anyone guess who is in the passenger seat of this 1971 5604 mile 914-6 winning its award at Hilton Head?
Congratulations that is a gorgeous car!
oh and smile Steve
Club must be dead.
Thank you Tom. Hilton Head is a very nice place, besides the concours, the beach is great. This car loves it:
1971 m471 winning at the Hilton Head concours, guess again who is in the passenger seat! (LOL)
As usual, the Hilton Head concours was a very well executed event: perfect weather, perfect venue, great people, and full of southern charm. It was warm enough to get into the ocean which many of us did. Saturday the car clubs met, and of course a 914 won an award, along with several other Porsche models. Sunday, the weather was overcast, but no rain and very balmy. Actually the overcast made for some great photos. There were some Lemans cars including Ford GTs and Porsche 911s. Ed Welburn, ex chief designer was there along with some of the GM prototype cars. Believe it or not, there was only ONE Porsche on the field, a near perfect silver 356 speedster.
