914World.com _ Originality and History _ Tank wall seam

The question is, was there seam sealer applied over this seam? I think probably not but the answer will influence how much effort I put into dressing that buggered flange.

I just checked 3 of my cars - 70,71,74 and no seam sealer on the ledge.

I'll chime in also; 1970/4, build date 01.1970, no seam sealer.
