914World.com _ Originality and History _ Clutch & Brake Pedals

Posted by: AvalonFal May 5 2006, 03:27 PM

Ok, this is an obscure ? and one for the real hardcore stock 914ers. I noticed new replacement clutch & brake pedal pads that are being sold have the ribs (treads) on the pads in a diagonal inverted "V" shape. On my '74, the brake pad is this way, but the clutch pad ribs are horizontal. Should both pads have diagonal ribs or should there be one diagonally & one horizontally ribbed pad? Told you this was for the hard core!! biggrin.gif

My 74 is by no means concours, but it's fairly unmolested, and both my pedal pads are inverted V, FWIW.
