The factory installed air dam on special edition cars.....were they F/G or steel, and were they finished off as the rocker panels were?

They were/are "glass" & finished same as rocker covers. Why?

You mean "Limed Edition" or LE front Spoiler?
They were made by injected resin in to fiberglass form.
Not a "lay up" like other FG parts.
As to the Finish they were painted the trim color of the version of the
car either Yellow or Phoenix Red (Looks sorta like Orange).

My comment was to "neun vier..."

Since his 914 is a '70, I assumed he didn't want it to be a "bumblebee". On his version an LE spoiler (don't ask me about my recommedations) should be black.

I know they were injected resin. Also know they are a "good thing" to have on a proper 914. Original on an early car - NOT!

Mine was smooth on the finish side and painted black on my 76 when I got the car.

We've been close friends for more than 30 years. He knows my 914 & I know his.

We also exchange barbs frequently.
