yes. there's supposed to be a piece of vinyl glued over the crossbeam.

just like on the center tunnel area of the crossbeam ...

Thanks ! I have vinyl remaining from the headrest restoration, I have glue too ... I know what I will do this week end ! ;o) ...

My '75 has the vinyl pieces.

Mine is a 75 and the inside paint looks original. I also feel that something was glued on the surface.
