This is the drivers side shock cover, passenger side had no markings. Also on the drivers side strut housing is a dab of white paint down near the brake line couple on the passenger side.

The date, 373 is also stamped into the calipers.

My car is a 73.

Can you provide the body # and date code from the compliance decal to help me compare dates please.

Here's a bit of 914 archeology for you. Found this while scraping undercoating of the drivers front wheel well.

the door jam tag is missing on my car, so I cant give the date off of it.
FWIW the rear calipers are also stamped 373. I think i've seen it elsewhere, but cant remember. VIN is 4732918716.

1459593 is the Karmann number
