How many 914s in the top 10 this time?
I am confident I will be in the top half
will be at Pismo camping 4 wheeling and ATVing....
Sorry to miss it. I will be down in San Diego National Tour AXing against Brit in his 914-6, a beasty BMW and a fast Subi.
I'm hoping one of us mid engine Porsche drivers can beat up on the BMW.
I'll be there. Andy, I hope you make it out there. I'd love to see that car of yours run again. Last time I got to see it was the shootout 2 years ago
Thanks Mike
The install went good, and now I am on 175 lbs springs with 225s new in the box, if needed. Fun day with the 914 yesterday, today rain
Rob - any plans to race your 914(s) this year?
Dan - I debut my new Dunlop Star Specs this Saturday
Finally rolling on 205/50s after years with my skinny 195s
the new tires are going to get a workout on that course...
Lots of abrupt direction changes, with slow exit speeds...
Course does not flow very well from what I see there...
not a low HP 914 friendly course
hope it turns out to be better in person, and also depends on actual final setup.
Chris, I will be interested in your comments about the tires after this event. This is the tire I am planning on using on my '75 when (if ) I get it streetable.
I try not to even think about "good course" or "bad course". If it's a safe course it's a good course in my opinion.
I'll also make sure to have the course well chalked before we start.
The 'flow' isn't my department, but making sure people can see the damn course is!
Fun day!
We all got 10 runs and the Hamilton blue 914 with Andrew at the wheel started clicking off runs at 56.X seconds when GT3s and others were still trying to crack 60.0.
Bill D and Mike from WA will be other 914s in the top 10 for sure
My new tires were cool, great to have 205s for freeway driving. For AX, well, I wish I never had half a season on Hoosiers, because now all street tires suck. These felt OK, but they make very little noise before slipping so caught me off guard at first. By the end of the day I had a 66.6...we'll see where that holds up in AX13.
I do love the arrive and drive w/o tire changes, and have my wheels+Hoosiers for sale, plus other parts

Pete's 912 gets the "most entertaining" award. Grease lightning
