I have
I researched at the time and it's a common practice. I ended up using my manufacturer. But lots of places can do it too

Same here; my mechanic at the time coordinated it for me, it's a routine thing.

I think both RacerPartsWholesale and Pegasus do it fairly cheaply.

Just sent mine into Pegasus racing. Had a scare at the track and had to discharge it. Fortunately it worked as designed. It has to be under 10 years old. Here's the link for the spa system you have:

For this work there are certified specialists, find in every fire station, just ask

At the fire station can they refill with the AFFF foam the Spa system is designed for? Do they do the dot required hydrostatic testing? If so that would be great but I imagine they are more equipped to refill the standard home extinguishers that use powder. Worth a call to the station though for sure.

I got my tank back from Pegasus already anyway. It took about 2 weeks including shipping both ways.

I started looking into this recently as I have an older system that needs to be recertified (hopefully not discarded due to age). I think I read somewhere that some sanctioning bodies require more than a local DOT certification. I do not know what certifications the local vendors provide compared to Pegasus or others though, and haven't looked into it further.
