The real question is....
After removing casting marks etc on webers is there any point going to either of these next steps?
(1) polished & ported inlet so max air can flow smoothly through venturi's.
(2) roughened inlet so air becomes turbulent, improving fuel/air mixture.
I couple of years back I asked Jake if he thought polishing the intake manifolds or using the Extrude Hone process would make an improvement. He said to leave the intake's casting rough 'cause the rough surface aids in the fuel/air mixture.
Between the fuel inlet and the valves stays rough. pre fuel, and exhaust both can be polished smooth.

So, what's rough....as cast?
