I read a little about getting hotel rates slashed, even if you're not with a group, a little while back. If I remember correctly, these were some of their suggestions:

- Don't bother talking with the person at the counter. Call and speak with 'Reservations" or ask right off the bat to speak with someone in management.
- Always be very very nice.
- I think they said women were most times more successful than men. dry.gif So maybe wear a dress Sean?
- Generally, the experts say about 40% less than the going rate is about as low as most hotels will go.

My guys do this all the time when they travel for work. Ask for the manager. Based on last years turn out I would think it would be fair to say that you COULD have 20 rooms booked.

I told the guy 10 - 20 rooms.
They have 29 rooms and 5 suites at The Columbus Inn.

OK, The Columbus Inn is the place. It's not a 10, but it will work out nicely. It's got character-like our cars. wink.gif
