Well, I filled it out and printed it, I will send it in soon. Is that it? I thought maybe you would have a PayPal link and electronic registration with all the modern technology these days.

Scott, don't know how to set that up. Think of me as an analog guy in a digital world. You volunteering?

Do we have a smiley with a zipper mouth?? I dont have time lately to do anything like that, but I am sure it wouldnt be that hard to do.

Well I figure I'll be the first:
Hey Howard, can I charge the track fee to PayPal?

Posted by: skline Dec 16 2004, 08:47 AM

How much are the track fees??? Did I miss something?? Is that extra?

Holy Crap! I just realized this is only 4 months away! I've got some work to do on my car before feeling comfortable making the 1200 mile round trip (most importantly an aux oil cooler).

Howard, if you have a PayPal account, just list the payment address. If you don't have one, get one or have somebody collect the dinero for you with their account. Remember, PayPal will remove approximately 2.5% for their fee when someone pays you.

As far as sending the registration as a file for you to print on your end, just make the file downloadable from the club site and they can email it to you. Make sure you created it with a common program.

My $1.00 worth.

Damn Slits, you are expensive, most people only give 2 cents worth. The cost of technology I guess.

It's due to the rising cost of brain surgery in Howie's case biggrin.gif

That form could be input into a database when "submitted" and then the user re-directed to a pre-made "invoice" page on PayPal to pay the fees.

The good thing is the database content could then be brought into a spreadsheet program and a list of entrants generated with all of their form entries in the correct columns. I am guessing this would save the organizers many headaches and quite a bit of time later on.

Efficient and would eliminate any confusion.

Just my $125 worth wink.gif

Good try Slits, I just got off the phone with Howie and the check is in the mail. He will be here shortly to straighten everything out. What a guy, he never sleeps. This is going to be a great event, I for one, am looking forward to it. And yes, I am going to bring the Chalon and it will be running and driving. smilie_pokal.gif

To end the confusion,
I know you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure that what you heard is not what I meant.

Howard is not coming here to my house, he was coming here to the Board. I got phone calls and emails in regards to that statement, Seems Howard is a very popular guy and everyone wants a piece. Must be some secret recipe he has or cologne. pray.gif

Watch it Scott - with the WVLLC and CGBC in the same spot, I would stand with my back against the wall.

Posted by: skline Dec 18 2004, 07:03 PM

I think we need to nail this so its not so hard to find. It was on page 3. Or, start a new one that nobody can add a bunch of jibberish to where they can get the info and download the entry form. Good idea huh? I am good for something. smile.gif
