any body else?

come on and help put together this list so we can begin to get contact info

I'm aiming to get contact letters out by the end of october, but I need feed back

Posted by: euro911 Sep 27 2008, 02:24 PM

I handed a flyer to Bob Breshears of Applied Business Concepts (Appbiz) while out at GAF ... Bob manufactures a lot of interior items for 911's and 912's and more recently - 914's (carpet kits, door panels, targa headliners, etc.

Bob and I spoke this morning, and he said he would be happy to donate a carpet kit and a pair of upholstered door panels for the prize/raffle smile.gif

He goes by http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/appbiz/?_trksid=p3911.c0.m198 on eBay if you want to see some more of their products.

Bob's business also supplies some of the 'Weltmeister' branded products that Automotion marketed (which was bought out by Performance Products a few years ago, which was just recently bought out by another company).

Appbiz is located in Harbor City, CA - Phone: (310) 539-6183

Bob also provided me with contact info for Dave at TRE Motorsports (818) 509-0257

Bruce Napier (GWN7) said he will be supporting the event with some goodies too ...

Posted by: Lou W Oct 25 2008, 10:54 PM

I can talk to Dan Callicott and see if he can and if he's interested, I talk to him at least once a month.

What about Eric Shea? what about Bruce Stone? The guy from Hemet who does the fiberglass decklid's etc. (I'll think of his name)I can check with these guys.

Posted by: Joe Sharp Oct 26 2008, 09:22 AM

Thanks for joining us Lou. BD is already on board with us and I am sure Eric will join us also.

Unless someone else takes the reigns , I guess I'm going to be in charge of donations

so as of right now I'm just looking for all of us to make a list of possible "donors"

if you have a solid contact name and business address that will make that part a little easier

We, as a committee ,still need to figure out our estimated cost so we can make some kind of plan or donor level of benefits. IE how to be on licence plates, shirts, handouts etc.

I'm going to add the names to my first post , please add to the list by Replying to the last list in this thread

Posted by: Joe Sharp Oct 27 2008, 08:35 PM

George: Please do.
The Plates will be about 2k and the shirts I had made up were $1400 for 144 shirts, actulay Robert got them for $9.14 each.
We can sell space on the plate to help cover the cost and we will have a seilent auction to get a little more.
I will donate a nice GT Engine lid for the auction.

... added some additional prospects (in red type) and contact info (wherever possible)

Let me know if this works for you guys :confused.

Let me know if/when the sheet gets updated with new info (by any of you boys & girls), PM it to me, and I will repost the updated sheet right here (post # 17) to save space on the server idea.gif

Added them & their contact info to the spreadsheet (see edited post # 17 above)

-------------------

EDIT 1/15/09:

Initial contact with Mark Whitesell (aka 'Mikey914' / 914Rubber.com) was successful. (I recently ordered 2 targa roof/window seal sets from him ... and while I was at it, pitched the event) happy11.gif

He will be happy to provide some items. I said we would mail him an 'Official" notice/request smile.gif

-------------------

EDIT 1/16/09:

I contacted Perry Kiehl ('9146986') this morning. I ordered 2 Steering Rack Seal Kits from him (for my personal consumption), and he graciously donated one kit for the event ! ... its in the mail to me as of today
