not as easy as that.
if it's a 73.5 7R (early spigot size) it could be a 2,0 or 2,2.

So - we've determined it can be somewhere between 2,0 and 2,8

hence my question...

Yep...

I'm running a 2.0/6 (actually it is 81mm pistons, since .040 overbore is class legal) on a 1973.5 7R case

drop a small crank in, and you can bring displacement down from 2.4
its the strongest of the mag cases if you want to up the redline to 8k or beyond. The original short stroke.

These deals always come up when I'm in pre-property-tax-austerity-mode...

I could be interested but I can't be tempted until November at the earliest. Your parts list includes a bunch of stuff I wouldn't need (e.g. Webers, headers, starter, oil cooler...). If you got going rates for those and took them off the asking price, we'd definitely be in tempting range...

yes -

for those who already have a six and all the "peripherals, and only want the long block - a deal can be made

but i will not sell off any of the peripherals unless the long block goes away first

I will put together a complete parts build list soon so that "pick-n-pull" style deals can be considered

i am in no hurry to sell this - if i find a pre-76 911 needing engine, this will go into it and i'll have a nice driver

(pre-76 cuz that's the no-smog-check cutoff here in sunny-CA)
