I have several sets of early and late striker plates. They are interchangalbe for all years. The early plates had a rubber stopper that attached by two screws.
The late have a stopper with two nubs at the top which insert into slots in the plate
New SS screws are included. Pictured are 5 sets of late which are ready to go.
I will post pics of the early type later.

They are ready. Here is a picture. They look better than the picture shows. Hard to get a good shot of shiny parts.

Ed, I can check that out tomorrow to see where PET shows the break. They are all interchaneable in function. What year is your car and which type is on it ?
