We all know the famous #7 orange teener that won third place in the 1971 Rallye Monte-Carlo was driven by Bjorn Waldegard. There was also the #17 driven by Ake Andersson and the #1 driven by Gerard Larousse. Both were DNF's. The records show that there were only three 1971 914-6 GT's raced by the factory Porsche team. I can not account for the car in these photos. Does anybody have any information about this car or the driver? It is not shown on the list of Monte Carlo finishers for 1971, so I am guessing it was also a DNF.

The pace car was at the Cinncinati Porsche Parade. The Pano had pics of it in the concours field.

John You might ask your sources if they have serial number for the car. Or give me a serial number for the cars #1,7,17.

Craig - My photo sources are Monte Carlo guys, not Porsche dudes.
9141430139 is the serial number for the #7 car. The other 2 factory cars are 9141430140 and 9141430141. |

I still have not found out anything else about the # 69 car.
I am sure it was not part of the Porsche factory team. My quest did turn up these photos that I know you have never seen. Attached thumbnail(s) |

Both of the cars above are Rallye cars. The first is from France.
These two are drivers from Germany. Attached image(s) |
